6 weeks later...
16 weeks pregnant, Rebecca was sixteen weeks along in her pregnancy and noticing more changes every single day.
"I'm telling you, I've gained at least 5 pounds since the last time you saw me" she said as she sat on FaceTime with Colby
"I saw you two days ago" he laughed "there is no way you've gotten that much bigger in two days"
"Seriously?" She questioned as she stood up from the couch and walked to the full length mirror in the hallway and she pointed her phone at it "look at this" she said as she pulled her shirt up
"Wow" he said automatically and her eyes widened
"Great!" She exclaimed as she looked back at him "I look hideous" she said and even through his phone he could see the tears forming in her eyes
"No!" He exclaimed "No! The farthest thing from it! I was going to say Wow! You look gorgeous!"
"You're just saying that to make me feel better"
"No I'm not" he shook his head "but even if I was, is it working?" He asked
"No" she shook her head slightly and his face fell "I wish you were here"
"I know.. I wish I was there too, but I'll be home in two days and you've got me for the next week" he said
"Great.. I'm sure I fully won't be able to see my feet by then"
"This pregnancy is a little different than the last one huh?"
"A lot different.. last time you could barely see that I was pregnant at this point but now.. I look like I'm about to give birth"
"You're ridiculous" he shook his head
"Rollins!" a producer yelled and he looked over at him and then back at the phone
"I know" she nodded "Go" she said with a small smile
"I love you" he said quickly
"I love you" she said before pressing end on the call
A few hours later Rebecca had to go pick Ella up from her after school tutoring session, the little girl was having trouble with a few subjects and Rebecca and Colby decided it would be in their little girl's best interest to have a few extra hours of one on one time with her teacher, a few hours of extra help so she could be the best she could possibly be.
After picking the little girl up, they began their normal night routine, Ella didn't have any other extracurricular activities that day so the routine was simple tonight. They came home, Rebecca helped with homework before sending the little girl to the back yard to run off some of the energy she had built up from the day, Rebecca watched from the window as the little girl flipped effortlessly on the trampoline while she made dinner, the little girl came in twenty minutes later and got a shower all by herself while Rebecca finished up plating the dish of the night, eggplant parmesan which was one of Ella's favorites.
"Miss Harrison asked about you and daddy today" Ella said as she sat at the bar
"Really?" Rebecca questioned curiously and the little girl nodded
"She asked how long you and daddy had been married" she said
"What did you tell her?"
"I told her that you weren't married yet" she shook her little head "I said you would be in a few weeks"
"What did she say?" she asked and the little girl shrugged
"She asked if Daddy seemed happy with you" she said "I told her he loves you and she said that you can love someone and not be happy with them" she explained and Rebecca's eyes widened but she knew she needed to keep her composure
"Does she ask you a lot about me and your dad?"
"Yeah" the little girl nodded "She told me that she wants to talk with him"
"Talk with him? Why not me?" she asked as she shook her head and the little girl shrugged, Rebecca heard her phone ring and looked to see Colby calling
"Speaking of your Daddy" she said with a smile as she answered the phone "Hey" she answered with a smile
"Do you have Ella with you?" he asked and Rebecca looked to her daughter who was eating
"Where else would she be?" she asked with a laugh
"I don't know, after the phone call I just got I'd figure she'd be in juvie" he said
"What phone call?" she asked
"The principal just called me and told me that Miss Harrison has just handed in her resignation effective immediately and Ella is no longer allowed in the school" he explained and Rebecca's eyes widened as she put the phone on speaker
"Ella" she looked down at her daughter "Why did you get kicked out of school?"
"I don't know" the little girl shrugged
"The principal said she was fighting" Colby's voice came from the phone
"Did you get in a fight?" Rebecca questioned
"Maybe" she shrugged
"Who did you fight?" Rebecca questioned
"Miss Anna Harrison" Colby said and Rebecca's eyes widened
"Ella Quin!" she scolded
"What?" the little girl questioned
"You got into a fight with your teacher?" she asked
"She said she didn't like you, so I hit her"
"Now we have to find a new school" Colby said and Rebecca shook her head
"I'm gonna go handle this" Rebecca said before hanging up the phone and looking at her daughter for a second and the little girl knew she was in trouble just by the look on her mother's face so she stood up and began to walk up the stairs to her room "We're not done talking about this" Rebecca said and the little girl turned around
"I wouldn't say it was a fight" Ella said quickly "She didn't put up much of a fight.. I hit her once and she was crying"
"You don't just hit people" Rebecca said with a shake of her head
"She made me mad!" Ella exclaimed "You were the one that told me not to take nonsense from people"
"I told you not to let people walk all over you, just because somebody doesn't like me it doesn't mean you can hit them"
"She made me mad" the little girl said calmly "Not my fault she can't take a punch"
"Go to bed" Rebecca said
"It's the Irish part of me.. She likes to fight, that's your fault"
"Ella Quin" Rebecca shook her head "Bed. Now"
