September 2nd - 21 Weeks
A bar on a Monday night after a show is not an uncommon place to find a wrestler if they're in your town, now finding a group all at once is something extraordinary that was a rare find.
Ashley had convinced Rebecca to come with her and Manuel after the show to hang out at the local bar in Baltimore which she promised she would since she hadn't hung out with friends outside of work since getting pregnant.
She made good on her promise and was having a good time with them, Colby joined them later on in the night when Rebecca was beginning to get tired. Ashley could see her friend was beginning to get exhausted and she gave her a sympathetic smile as she sat across from her in the booth
"Becks go to the hotel" she said and Rebecca shook her head
"I'm fine" she said sipping on the glass of water in front of her and Colby put his arm around her
"You're exhausted" Ashley said and Rebecca nodded
"I am" she nodded "I've been exhausted for weeks now, growing a human is hard" she said and Colby kissed her head "but I haven't seen you outside of work in forever, I don't want to bring you down by leaving early"
"It's 1 in the morning, it is not early" Ashley laughed "You would be fine"
"I'm staying" she said sternly "Now change the subject" she said and Ashley looked to Colby who held his hands up in surrender
"If she says she's staying then she's staying" he said "There's nothing I can do to convince her otherwise" he said
"So I'm going with you two next week right?" Ashley asked
"To the appointment?" Colby questioned "I love you Ash" he said "I really do but this is a little to personal"
"Oh shut up" Ashley said "She told me I could come" she pointed to Rebecca
"You agreed to this?" he asked Rebecca who shrugged
"She's planning the gender reveal party" she said and he looked at her confused
"What about my plan?" he asked
"We are not going this entire pregnancy and not finding out, I want to decorate the nursery" she said "I need to know the gender to do that" she said
"How about we do this another way" he said
"How?" Ashley asked intrigued
"WE go" he motioned to himself and Rebecca with his hand "and WE find out and then we come home and she can call you and tell you" he smiled and Ashley shook her head
"I'm planning the gender reveal, I'm planning the baby shower.. that's my right as best friend"
"Since when are you having a baby shower?" he asked Rebecca
"I wasn't aware that I was" she said looking to Ashley who just simply nodded with a smile
The friends talked for another hour before deciding to head back to the hotel, Rebecca was walking behind Colby with Ashley when she heard a voice she hadn't heard in almost a year.
"Rebecca?" the man questioned and her eyes widened as she came to a stop and then turned around
"Luke?" she questioned as she turned to face him and the rest of the group came to a stop and watched the interaction "What are you doing here?" she asked
"I'm training up here now" he laughed "You know how I was always training different places" he said and she nodded
"Well you look good" she said with a polite smile
"How are you?" he asked "I haven't heard much from you since Mania.. congratulations by the way"
"Thank you" she nodded "Yeah it's been an eventful last few months to say the least" she said and his eyes looked her over and landed on the ever growing bump that was being hidden by her jacket
"Wow" he said with wide eyes "eventful few months is an understatement don't you think?" he questioned
"Yeah" she said and looked to Ashley, she wanted to leave this situation immediately
"It's funny that, that's the reason we split" he said "You didn't want to get pregnant and start a family but now here you are.. pregnant and starting a family" he said with a scoff
"I am" she nodded "It wasn't in my plans but it's the best thing to ever happen to me" she said with a confident smile
"You didn't have that outlook on it this time last year" he said and she shrugged and she brushed her hair out of her face "and You're engaged?!" he exclaimed "Rebecca what the hell?!" he yelled and that was enough for Colby to step in
"Calm down Luke" she said in a small voice
"Yeah man calm down" Colby said as he gently pushed Rebecca behind him
"Calm down?" Luke questioned "Calm down?" he asked again "How would you feel if the love of your life was with another man?"
"She was" he said with a nod "I watched her be in a relationship with you for the last six months of it and it sucked" he nodded
"You" his eyes became cold "You're the one she's with now?" he asked with a laugh "This is the guy you chose?" he looked to Rebecca with a laugh "This is the one that you want to be the father to your children instead of me?"
"Obviously" she said with a roll of her eyes
"You sure he's going to stick around?" Luke asked
"He's not going anywhere" Rebecca shook her head
"Sure about that one?" he asked again
"I get that you're angry" Colby nodded "I don't blame you but I'm not going anywhere"
"You wanna bet?" Luke stepped closer to him and Rebecca came in between the two men
"Rebecca move" Colby said and her hand stayed firmly placed on his chest
"Look at me" she said and he looked down at her for a split second "He's not worth it" she shook her head and she felt herself being pulled away from the situation by Ashley
"Listen to her" Luke smirked "I don't want to hurt you, I really don't" he shook his head "but I would" he said and laughed "but then again, she's not worth it" he shrugged "She's just a bitch" he said and the next thing he knew he was on the ground and watching the group walk away
As they continued to walk away Rebecca stopped in the middle of the street and the friends turned around to look at her as her hand went to her stomach and her eyes widened
"Oh my god" she said and the three looked at each other concerned
"Rebecca" Ashley said as they walked back to her
"Babe" Colby said concerned and she smiled up at him "What's wrong?" he asked and she shook her head
"Nothing's wrong" she smiled "The baby.." she took a deep breath as she felt it again "The baby is kicking"
"Where?!" Ashley exclaimed and Colby's hand was grabbed and placed on Rebecca's stomach and they waited patiently
"I swear" Rebecca said after a few minutes "I swear it happened like three times" she said
"Probably" Ashley nodded "baby is feeding off your energy and is all worked up in there"
"Sorry Lopez" she shrugged "She must have fallen asleep" she said and he nodded as he placed a kiss to her lips
