Today is my first day at my new school, i had just moved from Florida to LA and now i am starting at my new school. Although I'm nervous I'm also quite excited because i got severely bullied at my last school for how i looked and for being smart. So since arriving in LA i have brought all new clothes and changed my style which i love more than my old style.
When i got up this morning i showered and washed my hair. I got dressed after getting out the shower, i put on some black denim shorts and a white crop top that wasn't too cropped so I wouldn't get dress coded. I dried my hair and lightly curled it so that it looked similar to my natural hair but I didn't put on any makeup because I didn't own Any. After getting ready i went downstairs where my mum had made a breakfast of waffles. I sat and ate with my family where we talked about my first day.
After eating i grabbed my backpack which i packed the night before and left to walk to school. Luckily our house was only about a 15 minute walk from the school so I didn't have to leave too early.

I have finally arrived at school, i walked to the office to get my timetable where i was greeted by the receptionist.
You: excuse me I'm here to collect my timetable
Receptionist: what is your name lovely
You: y/n y/l/n
Receptionist: here you go, the principal would also like to see you so if you just sit over there he will call you in shortly
I sat on the chairs she pointed to and got really nervous wondering why the principal would like to see me. Eventually the principal called me in and i walked into his office and sat on the chair in front of his desk next to a boy that was already in there.
Principal: ok y/n i would like you to meet daniel, he has the same classes as you so will be showing you around for the next few days until you settle in here
You: thank you sir
He dismissed us and we left the office in silence before daniel spoke.
Daniel: hey so where are you from?
You: oh i just moved here from Florida
Daniel: that's really cool what made you want to move?
You: oh urm well my parents thought it would be a good idea because i was getting bullied at my old school and my dad got a job out here.
Daniel: I'm sorry to hear that but if you get bullied here then just tell me and i can help you out ok.
You: i will, thank you daniel
Daniel: no problem
We both walked to out first class which was history which was one of my favourite subjects. When we got there the teacher directed me to a spare seat which happened to be next to this boy, daniel told me his name was Zach and that he was one of his friends. I went and sat next to Zach and the teacher started the class.
Teacher: ok class we have a new student with us today so everyone please be nice and welcoming to y/n.
The teacher then started to teach us about world war 2 which i already knew a lot about so i knew this class was going to quite easy. We were given a worksheet with some questions on which i quickly got done. When i felt a tap on my shoulder.
Zach: can you help me with this question because you seem to be good at this. Oh I'm Zach btw.
You: sure i can you Zach
I helped Zach with the rest of the sheet and by that time class was over and the teacher gave us homework which me and Zach agreed to do together after school.
