Me, Daniel and the rest of the boys are at the waterfall just outside the city we live in today and its so beautiful. We walked up to the top and across a bridge that went over the waterfall and all stood at the edge together looking at the scenery. The next thing I knew Daniel had fallen over the edge of the bridge and was plummeting down towards the ground. He seemed to be falling for forever and all I could hear was his screams before hearing a splash in the water below. I screamed as I watched him fall knowing I couldn't do anything about it. I tried to run down the trail to help him but the other boys held me back, I screamed at them to let me go before I broke down in tears when the realisation hit me that he was gone. The other boys held me tight as I sobbed my heart out. They still wouldn't let me go even when we did go back down the trail, Corbyn carried me the whole time so that I wouldn't try to help Daniel even though there was no saving him at that point. When we got to the bottom the police had arrived and pulled Daniel's lifeless body out of the water where they pronounced him dead which made me cry even more.
Daniel's POV
I woke up in the middle of the night to y/n screaming and crying, I knew straight away that she was having a nightmare. I pulled her on top of me before gently rubbing her back to try and wake her up without startling her too much. She wasn't waking up with me being gently and she got more and more hysterical the longer she was asleep so I was a bit more harsh and sort of shook her a little to get her to stir which she did. She woke up and gasped straight away from crying, she continued to cry so I held her closer to reassure her.
Daniel: hey baby don't worry I promise everything is ok I'm here for you
You: Dani your ok?
Daniel: yes baby I'm absolutely fine don't worry about me
I knew she wasn't ready to tell me what had happened yet because she was still breathing pretty heavily. I rubbed her back before I started tracing shapes on it which always helped her to clam down. Once she had calmed down and was ready to talk we both sat up and faced each other.
Daniel: are you ready to talk now
You: yeah, ok well all of us were at the waterfall and were looking over the bridge when you fell and all I could do was watch, I tried to save you but the boys wouldn't let me so I felt even worse
Daniel: I'm sorry baby but you know I'm ok and I would never let that happen because I don't want To leave you
You: I know that but the dream just felt so real and I got so scared
Daniel: well I'm here now
We stayed up for a bit just relaxing before y/n got tired and she fell asleep with her head on my chest.
Your POV
I woke up this morning and felt a lot better after talking to Daniel last night and it helped seeing him peacefully sleeping when I woke up this morning. I cuddled with him until he woke up and we both put on comfy clothes before going downstairs, I put on a black cropped long sleeved top and some black leggings.
When we got downstairs and all other guys were already downstairs Eating breakfast. They moved up on the sofa to give us room to sit down. When we sat down Corbyn went into the kitchen and handed us both bowls of cereal. We both thanked him and began to eat, while we were eating Jonah asked if I was ok because he heard me screaming last night so I told him that I just had a nightmare but I was fine.
After we had all had breakfast before we discussed what we should do for the day. The boys tried to suggest going to the waterfall but Daniel shut them down immediately, they looked a little shocked but eventually got over it. I was trying not to cry thinking about what happened in my dream but I could feel my eyes welling up with tears so I left to "go to the bathroom" where I got myself together before going back to the living room. I sat back down next to Daniel and he kissed my cheek to reassure me.
