It is my birthday in a week from now and normally i would be excited for my birthday but this year my boyfriend daniel is on tour, he has been for about a month and will be for the next 3 weeks. I was sad about this because for the whole time we have been dating and when we were friends we have spent our birthdays together, it has been our tradition to hang out at some point during the day and watch movies.
While daniel has been on tour we have been FaceTiming every other day because that has worked best with our schedules. Tonight when we FaceTimed we talked about my birthday.
FaceTime call
Daniel: baby I'm so sorry i cant be there on your birthday i know its our tradition but i just cant make it this year
You: i get that, I'm ok don't worry I'm going to spend the day with my friends as they asked me to go out with them. Promise to call me in the evening though
Daniel: I wouldn't dream of not talking to you on your birthday
We continued to talk about what we had been doing and daniel asked me what i was doing with my friends on my birthday, which I didn't know because they wont tell me what they have planned.
Daniel's POV
In a week it is my girlfriends birthday and as far as she is aware I'm not going to be able to be there because me and the boys are on tour.
However i have something planned as we have about a week with no shows so i am going to go back to LA to surprise her. I have got her friends in it and that is why they offered to hang out with her but they aren't telling her what they are doing because eventually they are going to take her to the beach where i will surprise her. I have told the boys too so that they don't accidentally mention it while I'm talking to her and so that when I'm on my way to LA they don't post things about it on social media.
I'm so excited to see the look on her face when she sees me because i know she won't admit it but i can tell she is upset that i won't be there with her to continue our tradition. With the help of the boys i have got her a really special present of a promise ring with some tiny little flowers on it.
It is about 5 days till i get to see my baby again i cant wait.
Time skip 5 days
It is now that day that i am flying out to LA my flight is in about half an hour. After the flight i will arrive at about 3:00 pm and at half 3 i have got y/n's friends to take her tot the beach. I hope it all goes well and that she likes the present i got her.
Your POV
It is finally my birthday, i really hope that my friends have a lot planned so i don't have time to think about how much i miss daniel. After i got up i got ready and i was wearing some light denim shorts and a white crop top with a tie pattern at the front. My friends also told me to bring a bikini so i guess we are going to the beach later. I grabbed my bag and put all my stuff in including a towel and my swimsuit which was a flower pattered bikini with a tie around the waist that goes over the stomach.
After my 3 friends finally arrived we got in the car they all came in and they took me to a cute little cafe for brunch. We all ordered coffee and cheese toasties which were rally nice and we enjoyed them for a while before we had to go to the neck thing they had planned.
The next place they took me was to a bowling alley where we did two rounds of bowling. We were all having fun when a group of boys came over and they all tried to flirt with us but my friend y/f/n told them to leave us alone because we all have boyfriends and we are trying to just have fun celebrating my birthday. After her rant they left us alone probably terrified but who cares.
Skip till 3:00
The girls have told me that we are going to the beach now so we quickly went back to my house on the way to get changed into our swimsuits. After we all got ready we drove to the beach. When we got there the girls made me go to a certain part of the beach which i thought was weird was at first but i soon forgot about it.
We were just sitting on the beach tanning for a while i felt someone tap me on the shoulder so i turned round and my jaw just dropped (I'm sorry i had to) i couldn't believe it. Daniel was standing right there, i got up so quickly and jumped in his arms and he hugged me back extremely tightly. Little did i know the girls were filming us so that we could forever look back on this moment. After we pulled away daniel bought me close and kissed me passionately and stared into my eyes.
You: i can't believe you're here
Daniel: did you really think i would miss your birthday
You: yes because you are supposed to be on tour
Daniel: actually we have a week with no shows so you are stuck with me for a weeks
You: and i am going to enjoy this week like nothing else
Daniel: i have a present for you
You: you didn't have to get me anything
Daniel: well i did do here it is
Daniel pulled out a little box from his back pocket and opened it to reveal a dainty little ring with gem stones on to represent flowers. It was beautiful.
Daniel: y/n i want you to have this ring as a way of me promising to you that i will always love and that sometime in the future i am going to make you my wife, so do you accept my promise
You: of course daniel
Daniel put the ring on my finger before kissing me again.
Me and daniel spent a bit of time on the beach and swimming in the sea before we went back to my house and watched movies while eating a pizza we ordered just like we always do. It felt so good to have daniel home again. I missed him so much and i could tell he missed me too because he has been very clingy and touchy. He has had his arm around my waist or his hand in mine sine we surprised me on the beach and that how i know he missed me. This next week is going to be the best.
