Authors note- sorry this is kind of late I forgot it was Valentine's Day so I hope you enjoy this extra part and happy Valentine's Day
Today is Valentine's Day and i just woke up to an empty space next to me in the bed. My boyfriend daniel had to be in the studio with his band mates today. I was going to miss him today but i knew daniel well and i knew he would have something planned for later this evening.
I got up and headed to the bathroom to go shower. After i finished my shower i put on some mom jeans and a grey T-shirt which i tucked into the jeans. I didn't bother with makeup and I didn't do my hair either.
I walked down the stairs and saw that daniel must have decorated the house. The living room was filled with pink and red streamers and balloons. There was also a banner that said happy valentines which i thought was sweet. I finally walked down the stairs and went to the kitchen to make myself breakfast but i was greeted with a plate with a ready made breakfast and a note next to it. The note read
Good morning princess, happy Valentine's Day my love I'm sorry i cant be there with you today but just know i am longing to be with you every second and make sure to be ready for tonight.
Reading the note made me smile. I grabbed my phone and took a picture of the note opened next to the plate and sent it to daniel.
You: thank you for the sweet note babe i cant wait to see you later and happy Valentine's Day
Daniel: no problem baby but just you wait until later because i am going to treat you like the princess you are
You: you don't have to do that today is about the both of us
Daniel: not this year babe today is about you and only you
I texted daniel for a bit longer until he had to get back to work. I ate the breakfast he made me while watching a film about a love story. I spent the rest of the day just sat on the sofa watching tv and doing some work that i needed to get done. Before i knew it it was getting to the time that daniel would be home again. I sat on the edge of the sofa until i heard Daniel's car pull up in our driveway. It only took a few minutes before daniel walked in the door and i ran towards him and jumped into his arms. He caught me but almost fell back onto the floor.
Daniel: wow someone's excited
You: i just couldn't wait any longer to see you
Daniel: well you have me for the rest of the night my love now go get ready i have plans for us at 7
You: ok see you in a bit
I went up to our room and began to look through my wardrobe for something to wear tonight but one of my dresses had been moved to the front of my wardrobe and it had a post it note stuck to it saying wear this tonight it will look amazing on you. I grabbed it off the hanger and put it on. It was a cream knee length dress with white detailing all over it. The dress also had a high neckline and was very figure hugging.
After putting the dress on i did some pretty natural makeup and lightly curled my hair so that it still looked pretty natural. I left our room and walked back downstairs where daniel was waiting for me. He looked over to me and his jaw dropped.
Daniel: omg babe i knew you would look good in that dress but damn you look stunning
You: aww thank you babe you picked a great outfit
We then get ready to leave but i still didn't know exactly where we were going. Daniel took my hand and dragged me to the car where he blindfolded me and drove to wherever we were going. I finally felt the car stop and daniel helped me out before taking off my blindfold. When he did i saw that he had taken me to this sweet little restaurant that we always walked past when we went out. We had never been there before because it always looks really fancy but i guess we get to experience it now.
We walked in and were greeted by one of the servers who took us to our table. This place was amazing and not to mention that the food was Devine. I really enjoyed my time with daniel at the restaurant and the whole time daniel wouldn't stop complimenting me which was so sweet.
Daniel is the greatest guy because he is always there when i need him and he never gives up on me even if i give up on myself. He almost never lets me down and anytime I accidentally let him down he never holds it against me. These are all the things that make daniel who he is and that is what i think about when i spend anytime alone with daniel. I wrote all these things in the card i got daniel which i can't wait to give him. We left the restaurant and went back home.
When we arrived back home we both got changed into comfy outfits. I put on some leggings and a white crop top. I also grabbed Daniel's card and the present i got him which is a watch that i designed and got custom made. I gave him the card and box which he looked at.
Daniel: this is beautiful baby how did you even get this
You: well i designed it and got it custom made
Daniel: you didn't have to do that but i really appreciate it
He gave me my card and present so i opened them. The card said all the things that daniel loves about me and why he loves them. I then opened the gift which was a photo book of all our memories together and little descriptions of what happened and how they made daniel fall for me more. It was so sweet to look through.
You: this is amazing daniel how long did this take you
Daniel: quite a while but it was so worth it for you
We both decided that we should watch some films and just relax for the rest of the evening. Daniel put on a film.
Daniel's POV
I was sat with y/n watching a film after having the best Valentine's Day together. We were halfway through the film when y/n fell asleep leaning against my shoulder so i decided to turn the film off and carry her upstairs to bed. I laid her down and got into bed next to her. I admired how beautiful she was and how lucky i am to have her. I soon fell asleep right next to y/n.
