Today is the day i leave the comfort of my parents home and go into the scary world of collage and collage dorms. Even though I'm nervous about what is to come i am somewhat excited to meet my new roommate.
My parents are coming to my collage with me to help me bring stuff in. I am driving in my car and my parents are going in theirs. On the hour and a half drive i jammed out to music the whole time because i won't be able to do this in my dorm because i don't want to annoy anyone else.
Skip the drive
I am just pulling into the parking lot of my collage next to my parents car. I left them to go and find out which one is my door and get the keys. I went to the front desk and talked to the lady.
You: hello ma'am I'm y/n y/l/n and i was wondering if i could get my dorm keys
Receptionist: you certainly can, here are the keys and they have the number written on them
You: thank you so much ma'am
I took the keys back outside to tell my parents where to go. They helped me bring boxes to my dorm. It was really nice which surprised me. There was a cute little living and dining area. There was a door to the left which led to one bedroom and another one next to it which led to the other bedroom and lastly there was one final door on the right which led to the bathroom. My roommate hadn't arrived yet so i just put my stuff in a pile in a corner out the way because i don't want to just choose my room without checking with my roommate first.
My parents left after a little while and i just sat around waiting for my roommate to arrive so that i could unpack. Someone soon walked in so i looked over and it was this guy with bright blue eyes. He saw me and smiled and when he did i saw that he had an adorable tooth gap. I have to admit that he was attractive but I'm not going to let myself fall for my roommate.
You: hey I'm y/n your roommate its lovely to meet you
Roommate: I'm daniel and is lovely to meet you too
You: well daniel i haven't chosen a room yet as i wanted to wait for you to get here
Daniel: thats sweet of you so is it ok if i take the room further to the right
You: yeah of course but you know that one is the smaller room right
Daniel: yeah i know i want you to have the bigger room
You: thank you daniel
I grabbed some of my boxes and took them to my room, i placed them down on the floor and i went to go get the rest but daniel came through the door way with the rest of my boxes.
You: thank you so much daniel
Daniel: thats ok, do you need any help unpacking?
You: if you are willing to help that would be wonderful
Daniel came further into the room and daniel grabbed a box which had some of my clothes in i showed him where to put them and everything. We joked around with each other the entire time while putting everything in its place. After we were done i offered to help daniel and he agreed to let me help. While helping him I discovered that he was really into music and was in a band with his friends who apparently also go to collage here to.
Daniel showed me some of his music and it was really good. After we were done setting everything up we both collapsed on the sofa. We were sat down for a while just relaxing after the stress of moving in but i soon realised that we don't have any food so we won't be able to eat tonight or tomorrow.
You: urm i hate to be annoying but we are going to need to go grocery shopping at some point
Daniel: ugh, how about we order food tonight and then go tomorrow morning
