Today me and my best friend Daniel are going out and having a day together as we haven't seen each other in a while. I always loved and hated when we spent time together because it was always so fun but it made it really hard to hide my feelings for daniel. I have liked him as more than a friend for a while now but i don't want to tell him in case it ruins our friendship but it is really hard when all i want to do is kiss him.
I got up and got ready for the day by showering and putting on my outfit for the day. I decided to wear a black off the shoulder crop top and some light coloured skinny jeans. I did my hair in a loose braid down the side of my head and put on some light makeup so that i looked a bit more presentable. When i was ready i had some quick toast for breakfast before getting in my car to go and pick up daniel. I picked daniel up and drove the both of us into town where we went and grabbed some coffee together. While daniel was ordering our drinks some guy came over to me.
Guy: hey I'm Matt (this is just a random name i thought of) i thought you were really cute and wondered if you would like to go on a date with me
You: nice to meet you Matt I'm Bella and I'd love to go on a date with you
We exchanged numbers and he said he would text me to arrange a date.
Daniel's POV
I was ordering mine and Bella's drinks when i noticed some guy talking to her. I listened in on their conversation and the guy was asking her on a date. Anger and sadness came over me all at the same time, i was mad that just some random guy had the courage to ask her out and me being an idiot couldn't tell her how i felt. I also was sad that she clearly didn't feel the same way about me as i did with her.
I got our drinks and went back to the table where Bella looked like she was deep in thought. She wasn't acting like she normally does around guys she likes which i thought was weird but i guessed maybe she was slightly nervous about going on a date with someone she doesn't know very well. I snapped her out of her trance when i placed her coffee down in front of her.
Your POV
Once Matt had walked away i just sat their thinking about the decision i just made. What if daniel did feel the same way as me and i just ruined it by agreeing to go on a date with another guy. I was really re thinking all my life decisions but i was soon snapped out of my thoughts by daniel placing my coffee down in front of me. I looked up at him and smiled but i noticed that the light is normally in his eyes was gone but i tried to ignore that and instead focused on cheering him up.
I tried everything i could to cheer daniel up but he just seemed really off with me now, i had no idea what i had done wrong but i felt really bad for doing whatever it was. I felt my phone go off so i checked it and it was Matt, he asked if i was free to go out tomorrow night so i replied quickly and said that i was up for that. I apologised to daniel while also asking him if he would help me choose and outfit and get ready tomorrow which agreed to somewhat reluctantly. Me and Daniel hung out for rest of day until it got late and i drove him back to his place.
When i got home i had a bath to relax but it didn't really work because all i could think about was what i did to make daniel so upset with me. I really hoped that it wasn't the fact that i was going on a date with another guy that upset daniel because i will never forgive myself if he has liked me all this time and i just didn't notice until it was too late. I got out the bath and went straight to bed.
Skip to the next day
Daniel is coming over now to help me choose an outfit for my date with Matt tonight. When he got here we both looked through my wardrobe for an outfit and i was starting to think that i had nothing to wear until daniel handed me a dress that i had in the back of my wardrobe. It was a dark red colour and had a plunging neckline as well as a slit going up to about mid thigh. I went to the bathroom and put it on before coming back into the room to show daniel. His reaction was not what i was expecting but in a good way, his jaw dropped and he was speechless for a few seconds.
