Today me and dani are going on a small road trip to go and see my parents. I grew up in Santa Barbara so it is about a two hour drive but that is with ok traffic which almost never happens in LA.
We woke up slightly earlier than normal so that we could get going at a good time to hopefully beat some traffic. We got in the car at about 8:00 am. Daniel insisted on driving even tough i offered.
Daniel: I'm driving
You: you know i can drive we are going to see my parents
Daniel: no its ok maybe you can drive back
You: ok then
I hooked my phone up to the aux cord to play my playlist and i just happened to be that i still do was the first song to play, so me and daniel sang our hearts out and had so much fun dancing around in our seats. We soon got stuck in traffic after just 10 minutes of being on the road. Daniel paused the music so i looked at him all confused
You: why did you pause the music?
Daniel: i wanted to talk to you while we are just sitting here
You: ok what do you want to talk about?
Daniel: i wanted to ask if there was anything we could stop and get along the way to give to your parents
You: um i don't know should i text them to see if they want us to bring anything
Daniel: ok love
I texted my parents and they just wanted me to get some different dessert that we could eat after dinner. So i told daniel and we said we would stop at the next target or Walmart to get some stuff.
Skip the rest of the drive
We have finally arrived at my parents place. Daniel parked the car and we went and i knocked on the door. Which was opened shortly after by my mum who brought me into a tight hug followed by my dad, they also both hugged daniel.
We went inside and i brought the dessert we got to the kitchen to put them in the freezer. After i joined everyone else on the sofa where they were chatting. We all caught up because I hadn't seen my parents for a while because i had been so busy.
After a while of talking we decided to go out on a walk before we have dinner. We walked around the town and i had my hand in Daniel's while walking behind my parents. Every now and then daniel brought my hand up and kissed it when guys were staring at me to show them that i was his.
We walked for about an hour before we arrived back at the house where my mum headed to the kitchen to make dinner, i quickly followed her to see if i could help.
You: hey mum is there anything i could do to help
Y/m/n: yeah do you mind cutting the vegetables and peeling the potatoes
Y/m/n means your mums name
You: yeah sure
I began to cut up the vegetables when I felt arms wrap around my waist which i knew were Daniel's so i turned to face him and quickly give him a peck on the lips before getting back to what i was doing. Daniel grabbed a knife and began to help me which i thanked him for.
After 30 minutes the dinner was ready so i set the table before my mum brought the food and and gave everyone a bit. We all ate while making small talk in between mouthfuls. After we finished dinner i went to the kitchen to grab the ice cream me and dani brought which i put in bowls for everyone. We all ate before we took all the plated into the kitchen where i offered to do the dishes and daniel offered to help me.
We all sat and watched a movie together. During the movie i started to get tired so i rested my head on Daniel's chest where i soon fell asleep.
Daniel's POV
Y/n fell asleep on my chest halfway through the movie so i put my arm around her. Her parents looked over to see that she was asleep before we started to chat.
Y/m/n: thank you daniel for making her so happy i have never seen y/n as happy as she has been with you
Daniel: thank you but i do it because she deserves it. She makes me incredibly happy too i hope i can spend the rest of my days with her
Y/d/n: well I'm sure she wants the same she is always talking about you
Y/m/n: yeah i swear that is all she talks about
Daniel: i do the same with my family and the guys and I'm sure they get sick of me sometimes
As i said that y/n began to stir and open her eyes
You: whats going on?
Daniel: nothing you need to worry about go back to sleep
You: ok
She closed her eyes again and i kissed her temple
Your POV
Time skip a few hours
I woke up after my nap and i was still cuddled up with daniel. After i woke up me and daniel decided it would be a good time to leave for our 2 hour drive home. We said goodbye to my parents and got back in the car an daniel was driving again because he wanted me to able to sleep.
I was still tired so i closed my eyes again and soon fell asleep because daniel was tracing shapes on my thigh.
Daniel's POV
I just pulled into the driveway and y/n was still asleep so i got out and went round to the passenger side to pick her up. I took y/n up to bed and got in with her after i got changed. I pulled her close to me and kissed her gently before i too fell asleep
