Year x777.

Satomi sat at the bar of the guild hall enjoying her beer as the kids made a ruccus behind her, especially the newbie with the pink hair. Another spat had occured between him and the dark haired kid.

"It's lively today isn't it" Makarov said from his seat on the counter beside her, drinking from his own mug. Satomi replied with a silent hm in response, lost in thought. After a moment she turned deciding to indulge in the conversation for a brief moment. She looked at the small kid at the other end of the room as he spewed flames at the ice mage, who blocked it with his ice. A frown crept onto her face as she looked him up and down. He had no idea how complicated his existense really was.

"He reeks of dragon" The single statement had the old man at her side choking on his beer. Satomi turned her back on the child once again. after a moment Fairy tails master eventually stopped coughing and turned to her fully, still surprised of her seemingly outragous statement.

"So it's true? Everything he told us?" Makarov kept his voice down deliberatly, not wanting the child to hear their discussion by chanse. Satomi again replied with a hm, earning herself a impatient frown from the master. She finished taking a sip of her beer.

"I wouldn't dig into it to much, might raise some unwanted attention, if you catch my drift." The master wasn't satisfied with her answer, she could tell. But he also knew that he wouldn't be able to get anything else out of her either. She decided to change the subject. Satomi let her eyes roam around the lively guildhall around her for a brief moment, contemplating how to broach the subject. It was never easy for her.

"So. What about your... grandson is it? He was a sickly little boy the last time I was here. Did he recover?" Did he die? Makarovs face lit up at the mention of his grandson, pride washed over his features, and Satomis heart fell. A difficult subject for her to inquire about, alas a very easy subject for her beloved guild-master to rant about to near endless lengths.

"Ah, yes! Laxus is doing great, he just turned sixteen, and he's already excelling at his magic. He's taking quests on his own and everything! He's actually out on a job now, but he should be back shortly, won't you stay for a bit more and greet him? I'm sure having a woman for him to look up to would do him good." Satomi finished her beer in a few gulps as the slightly tipsy guild master started to ramble on beside her. She then reached down into her satchel and retrived the quest she had already picked beforehand.

"I'm afraid I have to go. It seems like this one's an urgent matter" She stood while handing the quest to Makarov. The old man accepted the quest with a pout on his lips. After a short moment Satomi started to turn to leave.

"Then, what if he could join you on a quest sometime, when he gets a bit older and more experienced?! He could definetly learn a lot from you. I could give him your location say a year from now and-"

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!!" Satomi's voice turned dark as she again faced the guild master. Makarov stopped mid sentence. His face grew pale from the power in her voice, which had just shook the entire building. Everyone else in the guild were also watching. However the guild master quickly composed himself and gave her a long stare. Satomi mentally hit herself for losing her temper like that.

"I mean, he'd only get in my way, I'm not fit to take on an apprentice. Take a look at that flyer properly, is that really a place you'd willingly send a teenager?" Please say no.... Eventually the small man infront of her turned his piercing gaze away from her as he saw what quest she had picked out. His face turned gray as he gaped at the quest, a white ghost escaped from his mouth. Satomi already knew she'd won and made to leave the guild.

"Ah, something came out" The other members commented as she passed them by. Everyone moved as she approached. Clearing her path, except from the newbie with the pink hair. He looked at her with a wide grin pointing a very rude finger at her.

"You! I wanna fight you!" Satomi raised her eyebrows at him and smiled a little at his naive fearlessness. She patted his head as she stepped around him.

"Maybe when you're older Natsu" The child complained loudly shouting after her long after she was out of sight.

Satomi carried a bag over her shoudler, housing all the belongings she needed, as she walked towards the city gates. Her gaze rested on the cobblestones on the ground as she pondered. Sixteen years.... Shit... She sighed and closed her eyes while shaking her head, as if trying to rid herself of the thoughts surrounding the masters' grandson. It didn't work. She sighed again heavily as she realized that by the time she finished this next quest, he'd be mature. Which meant that this would be the last quest she'd get to do while calling herself a mage of fairy tail.

The young woman was so lost in her own mind she didn't notice the individual approaching untill she heard the footsteps. With a snap her head flew up, her gaze locking with the boy infront of her, she froze. Fuck. He looked at her indiffrently, like you'd look at a stranger, which was exactly what she was. But it hurt, and she hated that it hurt. She didn't even know him, and yet... I need to get away. Please just pass by me. Don't say anything. Just go. Every step he took he got closer, it was like a slow agonizing torment. Satomi stood firm, she couldn't take her eyes off him. His blonde hair, with bangs shifting just slightly to the left. His grey eyes staring her down as well. The lightning scar on his face. The loose clothes, a yellow t-shirt with a black, snugly fitted, sweather beneath, his loose pants were a deep shade of forest green. Despite his age he was already the same hight as Satomi, maybe even a bit taller. Satomi forced herself to reign in herself and squared her shoulders with a deep breath she forced herself to take a steady step forward. She couldn't just stand there and gape at him like an idiot while he passed her by. And besides, the quest really was urgent.

The young Laxus stared at the woman on the road infront of him, usually he didn't pay much attention to strangers. But for some reason his gaze had been drawn to this woman. She was staring at him too, standing completely still. Her hair was grey and reached her waist, but was braided into a thick messy braid that she'd pulled over her shoulder, her eyes bore a paler shade of the same color. Her skin was slightly tan, and her lips had a natural tint of pink. She was tall for a woman, and generously proportioned. She wore a pair of black boots that reached up to her knees and matching black pants. She wore a corset, with an intricate pattern in expensive brocade fabric in red and black. She had a white top underneath that poked out from under the corset, covering the top of her bust delicately, reaching up to cover her shoulders. It was an appealing look, without it revealing to much of herself. Laxus could feel his face warm up slightly and he broke his stare, embarrased as she at the same time started walking towards him. But as she moved, the fabric of her white top shifted slightly. He got a short glimpse what he could have sworn was the crest of his guild. But he had never seen her before. Laxus met her gaze again, she was still staring straight at him. Her gaze hadn't wavered for even a second, it felt like she could stare straight into his soul.

Satomi felt entranced, but at the same time she kept a firm reign on her emotions and instincts as she forced herself to near the boy. She just needed to pass him by, no words needed, easy. Right?

He'd looked away once, or tried to at least, she wasn't sure. Could he feel it too? No. It was to soon for him, he was still too young, he had to be. He just had to. She held his gaze all the time as she neared him, not because she was scared that she wouldn't get to see him again. Satomi was scared that she'd lose controll of the situation if she did. He's just a kid. She tried to reason with herself, but the primal part of he just snarled back in protest, yanking at her willpower. They kept eachothers gazes as they passed eachother by untill they'd either have to do a 180, or turn from eachother.

Laxus made the choice, he turned away. Satomi closed her eyes for a brief moment and let out a slient sigh. She managed to get two steps.

"You're a fairy tail wizard?" His voice rang through her ears and resonated in her enitre body to the point where she went completely rigid. She was practically shaking from being this close to him. Satomi hadn't realized that her mouth had gone dry. Her heart was pounding in her chest.

"What of it?" She replied through gritted teeth, clenching her hand around the rope of the bag she had thrown over her shoulder.

"Never seen you before is all, I can't sense any magic power from you either. Who are... you?" Laxus halted mid sentence as he turned to find that she'd disappeared.

Satomi panted as her knees buckled, it had taken a surprizing amount of effort to teleport away. She could never go back there. She could never lay her eyes on him again, she couldn't take the agony.
