"You're sure about this? What if you loose controll?" Laxus stared into Satomi's eyes with a look of deep concern. Satomi pursed her lips as she made a last minute consideration.

"I won't. I'm not unleashing all of it, so I'll be fine" Laxus was still sceptical, for obvious reasons, but nodded reluctantly even so. Satomi took a deep breath to brace herself and lifting both her hands to his face.

"This might sting a little, I haven't tried this before" Her heart raced a bit as she cupped his face in her hands gently. The touch sending those usual jolts of attraction through the both of them. They'd slowly, very, very slowly started to get used to the feeling.

"Okay... But if I see any sign of trouble I'll snap you out of it" Satomi nodded gently before closing her eyes to gather her concentration. She let her magic call to the lacrima again like she'd done the past time. As she noticed a connection being made she began to chant the necassarry spell to undo part of the seal.

Laxus jolted from the sudden cold that seemed to rush through his mind and he breathed in sharply. The sensation had his skin crawling from some invisible, cold, unsettling touch. Satomi continued to chant absently, the air around them shifting and turning. Black lines crawled up her arms from her hands in a unsettling fashion. Laxus's heart raced a bit as he realized she was really drawing magic from him, without even touching his own. For a few minutes she continued like that. The only sound around them was the monotone chant leaving her lips.

A sudden, sharp pain seized his heart and he groaned. Satomi didn't seem to notice it, simply continuing with her chant. A snapping sound reached his ears and as his eyes landed on the pendant around her neck which concealed her magic he noticed cracks in the crystal. His eyes widened for a moment before another pain shot at his heart.

"Satomi..." He tried to call her name, reaching to remove one of her hands but she wouldn't budge.

The wolves around them also started to whimper and stagger. They were clearly feeling the effects as well. Something was definetly amiss.

Laxus groaned again as he tried to peel her hands away. It seemed like he might as well have tried to make a mountain move on its own. He huffed a bit as the pain intensified. The wolves around them collapsed, Laxus watched them with worry. They'd die if he didn't do something.

His lightning cracked around them for a moment, he knew it wouldn't be able to do her any damage, but it might pull her from her trance. Invible shackles clasped on his mind again, a feeling he'd come to dread. Command. His lightning died down.

"Satomi!" He hissed at her, trying to tear loose from her grip, but she was just too strong. At least he could still move.

----

It was like a sweet melody, calling her home, entrancing her and luring her in. Satomi knew she shouldn't listen to it. But she'd already forgotten what she was doing in the first place. A voice was calling her name, but she didn't recognize it. A pale grey shadow danced around her, humming plesantly, tenderly, as it brought with it a sense of cold. It seemed like it had missed her for some reason.  She leaned into the melody and feel of it's presence.

Her body jolted from a strange sensation again. Different from just before. Warm. Safe. Reassuring. The song stopped and the grey shadow seemed to hiss angrily in her mind. Satomi breathed in sharply. Her mind getting hauled back to reality from a pull much stronger than she'd been prepared for. A prescence, snarling and demanding her presence in the real world. Her instincts. The most primal and intense of them all, filled with need.

A deep guttural growl rumbled from her throat as her eyes snapped open. Her heart leapt into her throat as she noticed what had inevitably yanked her back to reality.
