The orphanage was located at the edge of town, the building was small, and had two floors. On the outside it looked worn down, and had an overgrown garden, a few toys laid in the grass but didn't look like it had been played with for a long time. The door to the inside was open, there were clearly people there, Satomi could hear their voices even when standing outside.

The two had eventually decided to wait untill the following day before going to the orphanage. On their way over the shapeshifter had grown more quiet the closer they got to the facility. It was easy to tell how tense she was, her stare already cold and unforgiving. Laxus wasn't sure if it was because she'd passed an early judgment on what they'd find, or if she could sense something from the building that he couldn't.

As soon as they passed through the open doors they were greeted by a woman, she was dressed in a casual, beige summerdress. Her brown hair fell loosely over her shoulders.

"Good afternoon, how may I help you?" Satomi didn't return her smile, and as she didn't speak Laxus was about to take the initative when the woman bowed deeply to them and turned, motioning for them to follow her. Satomi still didn't speak as she began to follow her in silence. Laxus furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"What's going on?" Satomi stopped as she noticed Laxus' hesitation and question, so did the brown haired woman. She gave him a long stare as she considered how to respond to his question. All the cheerful air from yesterday was gone, no trace of the dazzling smile.

"Command, it's one of my abilites. We need quick answers, and she cannot disobey me" The words fell like stone between them as Laxus understood what she was doing.

"You're controlling her?" Satomi could tell that he wasn't fully supportive of the idea, but it was the most efficient way to get the information they needed.

"Yes" The shapeshifter continued walking, following the woman in front of her. An annoyed growl escaped Laxus as he continued to follow after a moment of hesitation. His eyes glancing down at the woman beside him everyso often. he was still having trouble getting used to her new appearance.

"What if someone else comes along? We're not supposed to just be strolling around, we're strangers" By now he knew Satomi well enough that there was no use trying to argue about the morality of controlling another person, so he put it aside for now.

"Of course not, you're guests here, I'm giving you a tour" It was the woman who spoke, Satomi met Laxus surprised glance with a sideways look. She raised an eyebrow as if in question to if he thought that would do, her green eyes seemed to pierce straight through him. He shook his head, despite being sceptic of this approach he couldn't help being impressed.

"Tell us about this place" Satomi didn't really need to say it out loud, but she figured it'd be better to include Laxus in her questioning. The woman opened a door leading to an empty room.

"This is my office, I'm the one in charge here. In total we're four adults working here and there's ten children" Satomi peeked inside the room, it was small and full of different types of books and papers covered the desk at the sentre of the room. A scream sounded upstairs, making her eyes dart back to the woman.

"What was that?" Her tone was so cold it sent shivers down Laxus' back. The woman seemed unfazed by it, the features of her face remaining completely neutral, as if there had been no scream at all.

"Oh that was probably just one of our clients having fun" Both Laxus and Satomi narrowed their eyes, Satomi had the woman close the door and urged her to lead them to the sound.

"Client?" This time it was Laxus who spoke, the woman smiled at him in a carefree way as they walked.

"Yes. This orphanage is so small and there's no way we can make it run smoothly without the children's help" Satomi's anger rose as she could allready smell blood, a weak whimpering reached her ears.
