Basically, my day got so busy playing with Rowe—Chancent's nephew. After swimming, we build a sand castle with Desmond and the other kids who went to play with us. They even buried Arki's body on the sand who was really willing to fill the kids' entertainment.
Kalaunan ding nakilala ng ilang pinsan ko si Chancent dahil naintriga sila sa pinagkakaabalahan at lumapit sa amin. Of course, they asked who brought Rowe and I don't have anyone to point but only Chancent who was already familiar to them.
They know him, actually, because they're in the wide circle of friends and it wouldn't be impossible to hear things about whoever.
That was the highlight of the day, I was damn tired when I went back to the guesthouse. I just took another bath, did some talk with the aunts and cousins and rested signed off my day. Body pain is what I've got the next day that made me feel disabled, so I stayed in the guesthouse while my other relatives went out to swim and wander around the Bantayan Island.
"Baby girl, how are you feeling now?" Papa asked when he saw me heading towards the refrigerator, kabababa ko lang sa hapong iyon dahil tinulog ko ang sakit ng katawan.
My body isn't really used to work all day. I get tired easily and my body would be in a great pain the next day.
"Maayos na, Pa. Pahinga lang talaga ang kailangan."
"What did you do the whole day yesterday, anyway?"
Arki went in and took out a box of Chuckie to drink, lumakad siya patungo sa counter table at kumuha ng saging sa fruit basket.
"Swimming!" I answered Papa.
He's not like Mommy who wants detailed information about my day.
"Swimming lang daw!" Arki mocked as he peeled the banana. "She was a baby sitter yesterday, Tito!"
"Arki!" inis kong saway. "That's not baby sitting!"
"Adult sitting?" he raised a brow teasingly.
My forehead wrinkled, I felt the tension in my chest as I realized what he meant. Adult sitting, what the hell? He's so annoying!
Nagpapalit ang tingin ni Papa sa amin, nakakalat din ang ibang tiyuhin at tiyahin namin sa area kaya nakakahiya na marinig nila ang pinagsasabi ni Arki. Gusto ko na siyang sabunutan ngayon at kurutin sa kadaldalan pero bakit ako defensive? Lalo lang ako aasarin.
"Adult sitting?" tawa ni Tito Rius. "I remember Chandria adult sitting me after my second heart transplant and we ended up having Fifth. So who are you adult sitting, Pallavi? Huh?"
"Oh my gold, why are you talking with those terms? You're making it sound like she has a Sugar Dad!" Capriana rolled her eyes and went out of the area.
Nagtawanan sila, awkward akong nakisali sa tawanan.
"Lovice is adult sitting me 'til now because I'm her baby!" Tito Horace intervened as he sipped on his juice.
I gasped while shaking my head. "I'm not baby nor adult sitting anyone! Arki's just too malicious!"
"Sino ba 'yon, Ark?" tanong ni Bhaltie mula sa sala.
Namataan ko si Jace sa tabi niya, kadaldalan ang kapatid na si Constance. I rolled my eyes at Bhaltie.
The guesthouse has no divisions, iyong mga kuwarto lang ang hiwalay at sa second floor lahat pero rito sa ibaba ay malawak na palapag at magkakasama ang dining area at sala.
"Estrevillo rin!"
Seriously? Pagtapos niyang sabihin na tini-train ako ni Chancent maging yaya, ngayon naman papalabasin niyang may gusto ako roon?
