Sileas has been very busy scheduling the meeting with Placidos, after the dinner and mini welcome party with Estrevillos and Felizardos—she started contacting Mrs. Gabbana Placido for the announcement that she wants to be done splendidly while early.
I am letting her decide.
I am so proud of her, she's finally deciding on her own now without thinking twice like the old her. Confused and selfish. Though, kahit immaturity niya ay pinahanga naman yata ako noon. Ganoon na talaga ang hangin kapag mahal mo ang isang tao, mahirap nang makakita ng pangit dahil puro maganda na ang nakikita.
I bit my bottom lip while looking at Sileas, she was talking with Mama and Austrid—Tito Rocket's daughter. Natutuwa ako kay Austrid dahil marunong siyang makisama kahit kanino. Hindi gaya ni Ate na mayroong pinipili.
"Nyxinea is nice!" dinig kong sabi ni Austrid habang natatawa. "You know, she's just protective but don't take it seriously!"
Tipid na ngumiti si Sileas, si Mama ay tumingin sa kanya at naroon ang concern sa mga mata.
"Magkakasundo kayo noon, eventually. Pasensya ka na sa panganay ko noong nakaraang dinner natin, she wasn't really that rude to question your marriage. Nabigla lang siguro siya," Mama said softly.
I was kinda irritated for what my sister did that night, tinext ko talaga siya noon para lang mapagsabihan kahit papaano. She shouldn't question my decisions in life, especially Sileas.
"Naiintindihan ko po, Tita." Sileas smiled.
I sighed. Nyxinea is a loyalist. Hindi ko naman siya pipiliting gustuhin o makisama kay Sileas, I just want a fair respect and treatment. Hindi por que best friend niya si Patch ay kaiinisan niya ang babaeng mahal at pinili ko. I also don't want to have a fight with her because her concerns will never be my priority now, she's just my sister. I don't need to follow where would she be contented because this is my life after all, I would choose who I wanted to be with for the rest of my life.
Si Sileas lang ang gusto, gugustuhin, mahal ko at mamahalin pa. I don't care about everything as long as she's beside me, siya lang ang kailangan ko at ako na ang bahala sa lahat ng haharapin namin magkasama.
"Nyxinea doesn't approve?" tanong ni Racksle.
"She's a Patch loyalist." I shrugged.
Nagtaas ng kilay si Heilder. "Even so, Patch isn't the girl for you nor for Heidden and we don't share the same woman. Bakit hindi na lang siya maging masaya?"
Heilder and Pyrex are really the harsh and frank ones, they say what they want without thinking of other people's feelings. They aren't tamed, I don't think that they could be. Ang kaibahan lang, si Heilder ay may kaunting pake habang si Pyrex ay wala talaga hangga't hindi kasali ang pangalan niya sa problema ay wala siyang sasabihin.
Though, they're both very sensible.
"Let her adjust," sali ni Chain na kaaahon lang mula sa pool. Kinuha niya ang tuwalya sa lounger at nagpunas bago abutin ang baso ng juice sa lamesa.
I nodded and sighed heavily. I actually care about her sentiments as my sister but she's being unfair now, I want us to have a better conversation. Maybe, after the wedding. Ayaw kong may sama ako ng loob sa kasal kaya kailangan ko muna siyang ignorahin.
Muli kong nilapatan ng tingin si Sileas at hindi ko maiwasang i-nguso ang ngiti ko, nagtatawanan na sila ngayon habang nag-aayos ng mga bulaklak sa vase. I could clearly describe how I remember our first meeting, she was not that kind of girl with a perfect smile...
"Isn't that Heid's girl?" Nam said out of nowhere.
My forehead creased when I looked and saw Patch Carlos, entering Starbucks with unfamiliar girl. They're both holding a lot of shopping bags and I wasn't surprised, I nodded at Nam.
