"Oh, how I missed your house," I announced when Chris allowed me in the door. I just loved his bachelor pad. He had an arcade section in his living room, plus graffitied art that he drew himself all over the walls. It was like walking into an unique museum. I've only been here once of course, but I fell in love from the very first time.

"You know you could come over whenever," Chris replied back. He was in the kitchen taking our food out the bag it came in. I was too occupied with staring at a portrait it looked like he was working on. He had the markers and pad scrambled all over his glass coffee table.

"Who is this you're working on," I asked in full interest. He walked over with two plates in his hand before glancing down at the pad with a smile, obviously proud of his work.

"That is my daughter,"he answered matter of factly. My face lit up observing the picture more closely.

"Chris she is gorgeous. She looks just like you too," I exclaimed. His smile grew wider, I could tell he loved his daughter very much.

"Thank you, thank you. That's daddy's girl. I'm planning on shading the rest when I get some more time. Then I'm framing it for her so she can put it in her room."

"I love that idea."

"I'm a genius so I'm not surprised," he started walking down the hall. "Bring ya ass if you trying to eat woman."

"A pole dawg? Really," I asked laughing as we made it to his room. This was my first time in here. It was quite the master bedroom for one person, but he did well with the space. On the right of me there was a stripper pole set up, along with a couch a walled mirror, and multi colored lights hanging along the ceiling.

"What? A nigga likes entertainment. Why you worried about it anyways? You don't know what to do with that. That's grown women shit there girl."

I scoffed giving him a look. "Who can't? Nigga you don't know me yet. I took pole classes for 3 years, I can do a little some."

"Word? I gotta couple ones right now. Come shake some," he yelled excitedly. He jogged over to his bed pulling some hundreds out of his dresser. He threw it over my head letting the money rain down while shouting "ayeee" repeatedly. I laughed just looking at his crazy ass until he frowned slightly.
"Why that ass ain't moving?"
"You're a real character you know that? I'm about to eat," I patted him on the shoulder before getting comfortable in his bed.

"Well aint that about a bitch. I was ready to see Judy."

"Maybe some other time love," I smiled watching him walk over to me. He crawled in the bed beside me never breaking eye contact. Ugh, he was so damn fine and his ass knew it too. It should be a crime to look that fucking good.

"What you thinking about love? You just spaced out on me."

"I'm thinking damn is this man going to get the show started so I can start eating or is the food just going to get cold," I remarked sarcastically. I wouldn't dare let him know where my mind really wandered off to. He just laughed without a protest and started up the episode.

Chris sparked a couple blunts and had wine for me while he sipped on something a little harder. I was feeling damn good, I'm not going to lie. We were both cracking jokes, talking about the most random things that came to our mind, and being crazy fools together. I felt like I was hanging out with a good friend of mine. The type of friend you always have fun with, regardless of what you're going through so you knew they were the sort of humans you needed to keep around to help you stay sane from time to time.  It was now going on 3 in the morning and sleep was finally falling upon me. I stifled another yawn as I was lazily stretched across the bed. Music was playing in the background so neither of us were speaking. Chris managed to find his game and been playing it for the last 45 minutes. I didn't mind though, I just liked being in his presence. I sighed because I was really trying to fight my sleep and I didn't want to go home.
