"No no no Ryan, those will be way too big for you. Pick up the ones to the left," I instructed over the phone screen. Once Danny and I officially divorced I decided it would be best to get the kids their own phones. Ms. Della, Danny's mom, had the twins out doing some shopping and running errands with her. They were at Target right now and she told Ryan he could pick out his own underwear so, of course, my son couldn't wait to facetime me to help out.
"These ones here mom," he asked pointing to the right package.
"No babe, your other left," I answered chuckling. To his excitement they actually had a pair of race car boxer briefs that he obviously couldn't resist.
"So these," he asked again, now actually pointing at the correct size.
"Yes baby hurry up and get them so you can put them in your granny's basket. Where's Dani? What is she getting?"
"She got some unicorn socks. They're ugly," Ryan frowned.
"They are not," I heard Dani's little voice in the background. I had to hide my smile to keep from laughing.
"I'm sure they're beautiful baby," I reassured. "Your brother just doesn't know how to appreciate a good unicorn when he sees one."
"Unicorns are stupid," he stuck out his tongue.
"You're stupid," she retorted back getting louder. "You always got something to say with yo ugly tail self," I could see her hands on hips as she almost rolled her neck off her damn shoulders. Oh Lord, here they go.
"Ugly? You look just like me dum dum! Except your head is as big as a watermelon!"
"Hey, both of you stop that. Not in this store or anywhere for that matter. Keep on and both of you will get nothing," Della scolded. I didn't disagree because their little asses were showing out in them people's store.
"Your grandma is right. Don't let me hear you two talk about each other like that again or I'll come to your daddy's house and tear your asses up then LEAVE. Now, I love you both. Be good and don't give your granny anymore trouble. Got it," I asked looking sternly into the camera at the both of them.
"Yes ma'am," they said in their normal unison.
"That's what I like to hear. See you Tuesday my babies."
They said goodbye to me again and then we got off the phone. Just like clockwork Chris came in on his phone. He kissed the side of my cheek and disappeared down the hall. I went to back to my emails trying to prioritize the ones I needed to respond to immediately.

"Okay, I need to schedule this promo video in four weeks," I spoke aloud to myself. That's just how I got business did. If I didn't speak to myself every now and then my head wouldn't be on straight.

"So the grand opening is in a week bae. Have you picked out our outfits yet," Chris asked once he returned.

"Ooh, it accidentally slipped my mind but I swear I'm on it," I looked at him apologetically. I didn't want him to think this wasn't just as important because it was. There's just been a lot of ground covered recently and I hadn't got to getting this done. I also needed to check on his gift I have planned for him.

"Raya you know I need you. I'm already stressed out about this other shit," he reminded. I nodded.

"Yes I know and I said I got you. Stop worrying yourself. You gonna lose your hairline for real," I joked. He's been stressing about his hairline lately. Which even I had to admit, it was looking a little rough for my baby. He needed to chill out with all damn hair bleaching, but you can't tell Maurice shit.

"Haha funny my nigga just worry about what you need to be worrying about."

"I am and that's why I'm trying to look out for yo big forehead ass," I replied slapping him in the middle of that super dome. He smacked his lips looking at me like I was tripping.

"Man, you walking around here looking like a goddamn alien by the head and you tryna be funny."

"You so cap," I rolled my eyes.

"Naw little bro, whenever you wear that little jerry curl with your head combed back I can barely look you in the eyes because that forehead be blinding me and shit. Told you I think I need glasses all of sudden. I was only trying to be nice and not tell you, you the real reason behind that."
