I didn't get out the house until the late afternoon because Naomi and I binge watched On My Block all night since she was off today. She was still lounging in bed, but I was on a mission and that was to see Chris. I went to Target and picked up a mug that said "Billionaire in the Making" along with some candy treats that I placed inside the mug as a "I'm sorry" gift. I know I was doing the most, but those words Chris said to me really pricked my heart and I  just felt led to do this. Josh greeted me in the entrance per usual and let me know that Chris was in his office today. I knocked lightly on his door feeling slightly nervous for some reason.

"Come in," I heard him say from the other side of the door. I peeped my head in to see him sitting with a bunch of papers scattered across his desk.

"Hey," I said softly. "Is it a bad time?"

"Naw I'm just doing some paperwork. What's up? Something wrong?"

"No it's not. I just needed to talk to you," I took a seat in one of the chairs across from his desk before I reached inside my bag and pulled out his gift. I placed it on his desk before smiling. "Look Chris, yesterday wasn't me and you were right I shouldn't allow people to fuck up my days like that, excuse my french. I just came in here to apologize for my behavior, I know you were just trying to help and it wasn't right to treat you like that. So I brought this as a peace token between us." I smiled hopeful not sure of his reaction. He stared at the mug and at me before he cracked a smile and a low chuckle.

"Thank you Raya, but you didn't have to do all of this. I get it, some days are not as good as others. Shit happens and I wasn't upset with you. Trust me, I've dealt with clients far more worse. I appreciate you for coming all the way over here though."

"It was no problem really. I just want you to know that won't happen again."

"I'll hold you to it. So was that all?"
I nodded.

"Well I guess I'll let you get back to work," I said before rising from my chair.

"You know what I think I'm still not ready to let it go. Maybe I'll have a clearer conscience if you get some lunch with me," he proposed causing me to perk up before I remembered reality.

"I'm married Chris," I muttered.

"I asked you if you wanted to get something to eat with me Raya, not me eating you." His choice of words made my breath hitch inside my chest. I cleared my throat feeling aroused before I spoke again.

"I guess there's no harm in food right," I shrugged.

"Right. Let me just clear my desk and we can head right out because I'm starving."
While he was getting his stuff organized I got a text from Danny talking about how sorry he was and how he missed me not being in bed with him. I just rolled my eyes because it was always the same routine I'll answer when I felt like it. In all truth, I'll probably be going back home Sunday anyways so I wanted to enjoy my time alone without even having to think about him.
