CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

When we arrived to the penthouse my legs felt like jello. Chris held my hand as we made it out of the elevator.
"Hey you kids," Chris greeted when we walked inside. I could smell food. My mouth automatically watered.
"Heyyy you guys," Naomi lifted herself out of the pool and walked over to us once she wrapped a towel around her. August was sitting on the couch typing away on his phone.
"We thought y'all asses were neva coming back," he said.
"Of course we were. We just left a helicopter tour,"  Chris answered taking a seat to next to August.
"What?! How y'all gonna do that without me?!"
"Naomi hush, you know you don't even do heights," I reminded her. I walked away from them, letting my  nose lead me to my next destination.
"Oh, hi," I stumbled as I realized another person was here. A lady was in the kitchen cooking her ass off.
"Hey how you doing baby, I'm Ruby with Ruby's catering," she greeted me with a warm smile.
"I forgot to remind you, we're about to have a little party. August had one more surprise for your girl," Naomi came in. She walked over to all the good looking food eyeing it. "Ooh Ruby, you showing out miss ma'am. I can't wait to tear this up."
"You know I gotta all out for the birthday girl."
"So who is coming to the party," I asked.
"Some of my family is flying out, a few of August's friends. Nothing too major."
"Okay, well dang I guess I need to start getting ready."
"I'm coming with. I was drunk but I know it's some hot ass tea you need to serve me Ms. Bitch," she smirked with a hand on her hips.
"Come follow me hoe," I joked imitating Pretty Vee. "You want me to do your make up?"
"Do you have to ask me that," she asked. "So what's tea?"
"Lord.. I don't even know where to start," I said as I started applying primer to her face. "I did a bad thing."
"Like what," she asked wiggling her eyebrows. She couldn't contain the smile on her face. I laughed shaking my head.
"We fucked Naomi. That's the tea."
"That's obvious. You're glowing like a lit Christmas tree in the middle of a dark room. I need details because Raya this is some wild material you're presenting," she went on throwing her arms around.

"Damn, where do I begin? His dick is sooo big sis," I shouted expanding my arms. "He fucked me all night too. That man had a point to prove and he did just that. Whew, I'm getting chills just thinking about it," I shuddered closing my eyes and fanning myself. "He ate every last inch of my body. Then he made me feel so sexy and.. nasty."

Naomi screamed kicking her legs around. "And that's on mary had a little mfn lamb!! Ahhhh! Sis, I'm so geeked right now!"

"Shhh," I hissed shaking her. I was laughing so hard I could barely regain control of the situation. "Girl shut up before they bring they nosy asses in here."

"Okay, okay," she took several breaths before repositioning herself in the chair. "Raya Simone Lee I swear I never thought I would see the day. Again, I don't condone cheating, but damn bitch I'm so proud of you."

"Naomi in a sick kind of way I'm proud of me too. I don't regret a single thing."

"I know that's right," she said mimicking Saweetie. We talked some more as I did her make up. Shit is getting reckless.

The party wasn't just extremely large, but there was a nice crowd of people. I kept it discreet around Chris, but the more time progressed the more I felt like I couldn't resist being not being around him. As of now, I was standing around the kitchen island with some of Naomi's cousins and co workers I met through her.

"So how are you and Danny and the kids doing," Lexy, Naomi's older cousin asked. The other women stared in anticipation for my answer.

"Oh, we're doing good. The children are doing good as well," I said keeping it short.

"Aww, your family is so beautiful," Jada, Naomi's coworker added. "I swear that's all I ever wanted with me and my baby daddy. His bitch ass just couldn't act right."
Tuh, girl only if you knew.
"Don't sweat it boo. You're time is coming," I assured her.
