CHAPTER FIFTY

Raya
"Dani go put on your shoes. Your daddy will be pulling up any second," I shouted from upstairs.

"Okay mama," I heard her yell back.
"Alright Dorinda I'm sorry about that. Let's continue," I said over the phone. She and I were having a little conference call.
"Okay, so the products that sold out the most was the Seductive Eyeshadow Palette, the Cherry Bomb Lipstick, the Kiss Me Gloss, the skin care sets were a huge fave I believe those sold out within a hour. I have a lot more, but those products are what we noticed sold out the quickest."
"Great. That shows me that we made some smart decisions with our choices. Let's reach out to the warehouse and let them know I want to double the quantity of each popular item so we don't necessarily  sell out as quickly." There was a knock on the door so I knew that had to be Danny.
"Got it. I'm on it, were you swinging by the office today? We can brainstorm so more about the promotion idea."
"Yes let's do that. I'll be by later this afternoon. Thank you for the update my love, I'm going to get these kids ready."
"Alright hun and you're more than welcome. See you later."
After I hung up with her I walked over to the door, not opening it completely.
"You could've just texted me like a normal person to let me know you were outside," I told Danny.
"Yeah, I could've but I didn't. Damn, what's all the secrecy, you hiding that nigga up in there?"
"First of all that would be my business, but no I just don't want anyone seeing the house until I have my house warming party."
"Be for real Raya would I even be invited," he asked with an eyebrow raise.
"Maybe."
"My girl too?"
"Wow. So that's what it is with y'all two now? I know she's happy about finally getting claimed," I rolled my eyes slightly.
"You the one to talk. Last time I checked this morning, you're the one on theshaderoom kissing all over that nigga."
"Chris—his name is Chris and that's besides the point Daniel."
"You sound like you jealous," he smirked looking me in my eyes. I didn't respond because the twins came downstairs.
"What's up dad," Ryan said trying to sound cool. I laughed shaking my head.
"What's happening fam," Danny laughed as well. "Hey princess," he picked up Danielle placing a kiss on her cheek.
"Mama got me some new heels daddy," she told him excitedly.
"Oh wooow. Are you bringing them with you? I can't wait to see them," he told her making her little smile grow.
"Come on you guys let's get your stuff," I had their small duffle bags in both of my hands. They grabbed them and ran to his car. I walked over to give them kisses.
"Miyah, we'll be staying with me pretty soon until she has the baby so I feel like there's still a lot we need to discuss," Danny dropped another bomb.
"Wait what? How soon is soon? You realize you still haven't told the kids about your little secret. I don't know how I feel about having her around my kids."
"Our," he corrected me. "And obviously why I said, we had a lot to discuss. Now isn't the time though."
"If you can't do shit else you can always find a way to piss me off," I said with much attitude.
"Listen Raya cut the bullshit. This is just the reality of our lives now. If you and ole boy ever get serious enough, he'll be right in my children's lives too. I have a child on the way so that's a priority in my life too now."
I grew quiet. "It still hurts just as much as the first time I heard the news. A whole child Danny? Just un-fucking-believable. But listen, you're right it's not the time for this. Take care of my kids."
"Will do. See you Tuesday."
"Yeah," I sighed. I quickly fixed my mood for my children sending them one more goodbye before they left. I watched them drive off  before I walked back in the house.
"This is just the reality of our lives now". Danny's words echoed through my head. He was right. I had to come to terms with the fact he's now having a child with another woman and this same woman would have ties to my family forever. My kids are going to have to know who she is because she's the mother of their sibling. Like it or not I have to accept that. Just like Danny will have to accept Chris when we get even more serious. It was a tough, new pillow to swallow and I'm not even sure I'm ready for it.
My phone rang taking me away from my thoughts which was probably the best thing for me right now.

"Hey boo," I answered when I saw who it was.
"Come to August's house right now," Naomi rushed. My heart skipped a bit as panic sat in.
"What's wrong sis??"
"Please just come Raya."
"I'm on my way!"
It took nearly 30 minutes to get there. I rushed out of my car to bang on the front door. August answered with a confused look on his face.
"Damn Raya why you beating on my door like you the folks or something?"
"What's wrong with Naomi," I asked. He rolled his eyes.
"She's a got damn drama Queen. Come in, she's on the patio." I sped past him to see what was going on. She was out sitting on the couch looking at the pool
"Bree what's wrong," I asked calling her by her middle name. When she looked at me tears sprang in her eyes as she walked over to me. August came outside propping himself against the patio doors with his arms crossed.
"What is going on," I demanded. She still didn't say anything as she pointed at the table. I was still confused but I walked over to see what had her so upset. Once my eyes set on the small object laying there my mood did a 360.
"Oh my God Naomi you're fucking pregnant," I exclaimed jumping up and down. "Yoooo my baby is pregnant!"
"Good to know someone is excited," August mumbled walking over to us. I pulled him into a big hug.
"Congratulations brother! You have made my girl a woman."
"I cannot believe his ass did this to me," Naomi finally spoke.
"Naomi cut the bullshit. We fuck very often and I never pulled out once so what you thought was gonna happen?"
"This is just too much. My hot girl summer is canceled," she wailed. I rolled my eyes, like August said she was being beyond dramatic.
"Should've thought about that sis. Coochie poppin in a handstand will eventually catch up with you."
"Lord I just can't believe this. August head is already big as hell then my is slightly big I'm about to push out a mfn megamind baby. How ima push out megamind?!"
"Girl you know what! Ima kick yo ass Naomi," August grabbed her. A smile finally appeared on her face making a even bigger one appear on August's.
"I can't believe you caught a player slipping like this," she said softly.
"Gotcha," he said before kissing her. My heart tightened in happiness. My baby is having a baby!!!
