Monday Afternoon
I looked in my car mirror reapplying my lipgloss for the 30th time it feels like. I smacked my lips together before observing my entire face. I was pleased with my overall look, even dressed casually I felt like I looked damn good. I was outside of the gym waiting for Chris to come out. He told me he had some errands to run and I was more than eager to join. Danny was out shooting hoops with his homeboys so I didn't see the point of sitting around the house bored anyways.
"Girl get out the mirror you know you look good," I heard Chris shout outside of my window. I couldn't stop grinning just by seeing his smile alone.

I quickly hopped out of my car so I could embrace him in a hug

I quickly hopped out of my car so I could embrace him in a hug. He smelled so damn good that I forgot his occupation revolved around sweating.
"I missed you Chris bear," my words muffled in his chest as we remained in each other's arms for a while.
"Chris bear though," he asked in a humored tone. I nodded brightly as we began walking.

"Yes you heard correctly. You sir, are my Chris bear," I poked him in chest and he laughed looking down at me. Once he opened the doors I slipped in the Lambo seats feeling securely comfortable. I felt like that bitch riding shot gun with Chris. No one could fuck with me, him, or us.
We didn't say much as we allowed the music to play. My nose noticed the change of smell in his car's air freshener. I told him how much I enjoyed this particular scent during one of our random conversations and it just melts my heart that he remembered. He always remembers.
"Chrisss you got it," I touched the freshener so he could know what I was referring to. He glanced over before smiling proudly.
"The moment you mentioned it I looked it for that next day and realized you had good ass taste in car scents," he joked. We laughed together before I caressed his hand a little.
"You're always making me feel so good."
"I'm trying to keep it that way too." He grabbed my hand and gave it a kiss not letting it go until we reached our first destination, which was Home Depot.
"You look good by the way," Chris complimented as we walked into the store. "This jacket is fly as hell too. You know red is my favorite color. You're sexy as hell in this shade," he grabbed me by my jacket so he could lick my ear. I giggled pushing him away.
"Stop it. We're in public crazy," I replied. I was still laughing as we strolled amongst the aisles. Since we shared that kiss, shit has been pretty dangerous. We're becoming more and more affectionate towards one another. We're also way more comfortable with touching.
"So why did you need to come up here," I asked.
"Well, Royalty's birthday is coming up soon so I'm planning on redoing her room. I'm going to repaint, redecorate, I'm talking the whole 9 yards. She's going to have one of the coolest rooms a future six year old can have."
I could tell he was excited about this just from the way he spoke.
"I've seen how creative you can get so I already know this is going to be so cool. I would love to help."
"You don't have to do all that to impress me. You know I'ma like you regardless right," he joked.
"Ha-ha," I responded sarcastically. He bent down looking at every shade they had of purple, I'm assuming that was her favorite color. "Seriously I want to help. I want to see how it all comes together you know?"
"Well if you insist on being with Daddy I won't stop you."
I playfully smaked the back of his head. "You're so full of shit. Uglyass."
"Girl stop. You know I'm the finest light skinned nigga you ever seen."
"Ehh, you aiteeee."
"Whatever hater, here put these cans in the basket for me. We got some shopping to do mama," he said handing me buckets of paint.
"Lead the way daddy," I smirked. The smile he returned made my knees weak. He didn't say anything as he walked, but he didn't have to we both knew what the vibe was.
**
Chris wasn't lying when he said we were going to be doing some shopping. He blew a bag for sure, but it was going to be worth it for his baby girl. I think it was so cute and I'm glad to be part of this project. I was now on my way home to see my own babies. I probably would cook a simple meal so I could spend the rest of the night watching movies with them.
Once I walked in I was greeted by the devil, Megan, Danny's sister. I hate when she drops the kids off here. She swear she owns stuff because Danny paid for the house, but I'm making my own money now. I partake in as many bills as he does, respect needs to be understood.

"Where have you been," she asked rising from the couch.
"I was doing some shopping with Naomi. Why is my whereabouts your concern? And where are my children," I checked her. That's the shit I'm talking about, rude bitch.
"Hmm," she replied eyeing me. She grabbed her purse and keys off the table preparing to leave. "The kids are in the game room. Tell my brother I was here," she said before finally leaving. I closed my eyes in irritation. It takes so much out of me to not slap her ass one good time, but I'm so respectable towards Danny's family that I always make a tough exception for her.
"Ryan, Dani I'm home," I yelled from the basement. I seen the mess they've created amongst themselves before I could even get to the bottom of the steps. They ran over to me to share their love plus tell me about their day per usual. It never bothers me though, I could listen to my kids babble all day and never get tired of hearing them rant. If Danny and I didn't do anything else right in our marriage, we damn sure outdid ourselves with our seeds. I'll always have him to thank for that.
