hold on, we're going home.
|Chapter seven|
Delicious.
That's the first word that came to my mind when I took a mouthful of my pizza, cheese filling my mouth.
Ryan could put anything on a pizza and make it taste fabulous, I swear he could. There were the days he pulled a plain cheese from the oven just to make us laugh, but most days it was an edible form of his crazy wonderful imagination. This time he had added something different and greeny.
I took another bite, cheesy with dark leafy greens. I smiled, "Ryan that's so good, what's the green stuff?"
With a boyish grin he raised his brows, opening up his eyes, "Stinging nettle, chives and dandelion leaves."
I paused as if my thoughts had stopped entirely, "Holy. That tastes good." He gave a shrug, the one he always gave when he was proud of himself.
On my way back home from University today, Ryan accompanied me to my apartment complaining that we don't hangout much. And I was like what? We literally see each other daily. But that was his point that seeing each other and hanging out with each other was a big difference. Or maybe he just wanted to show me his new recipe and he was searching for ways to do that. It was our thing, of course with Mae accompanying us but she had multiple assignments to make so she went to her dorm straight.
It's been almost two weeks since I've shifted to my apartment and to say that I had gotten used to it would be an understatement. I was merely trying to get used to it. Not seeing dad daily, not seeing his newspapers and glasses sprawled all over the table, not seeing Jayden or hearing him come and go every minute and hearing his footsteps was hastily a bit difficult but yeah; I kinda had gotten used to it somehow. The freedom I asked, was here. Not that there wasn't before because I did have it. But running a million dollar company requires hardwork and dad give his sweat for it. Most of the times during my high school he would come home late because of being stuck at company and Jayden used to have sleepovers at his friends house. I didn't go to friends place more often, but they used to hangout at my place all the damn time.
Still living under my parents roof and living far away from home in a beautiful apartment alone was a nice thrilling feeling. It wasn't a surprise that dad choose this apartment for me which spoke rich. It was situated in the colony of rich people only. Speaking of rich, I haven't seen more of Aaron or Ashton lately which was good honestly. Aaron speaks only mysteriousness and I can't figure him out. Not that I want to. Ashton on the other hand was nice but still I didn't see him much in the past few days.
Glancing at the clock, which indicated it was past eight; I swallowed down my food and took a sip of coke. I grabbed two three tissues and cleaned my hands and face that had sauce smudged on my nose and chin. I don't know how it got there.
Ryan was about to leave and I was planning to go for a walk. I know it's somewhat late but my apartment was almost near uni campus and the streets have become more familiar to me. Also I've always loved going for walks.
Soon enough, he left and I headed out. Sun had already set as darkness enveloped giving the chills. I was thankful that I wore my orange neon jacket over my black leggings and black tshirt which was more like a crop top and had brown boots on.
The weather has been rainy lately and I love rain. There is some kind of peacenees in it. It is like whitenoise to my overthink, it has it's way of soothing my troubled soul. The avenue was breathing, living, through the trees and the people, as if they were in a strange conversation of sorts, one of the emotions. It was as if the colours and the sounds, the bustle and the quiet space, were a million weaved moments both transient and real.
