let's fall in love for the night.

|Chapter five|

"This will go perfectly here Sky." I smiled at Mae as she placed an indoor dieffenbachia dumb cane in my new balcony. She then picked a few more indoor plants and lined them against the railing. Archie helped her with a hammock black steel swing that was hanging from the ceiling and placed white cushions on it while I stepped on a stool and put on lights on the wall and hung a pink-blue dreamcatcher.

Wind started blowing as if the pulse within, the pattern of the raindrops carried, were a code. With the rain came the doors that banged, the wind that wanted nothing more than to announce its arrival. I looked ahead to see grass outside flattening in waves as it touches my skin and my hair blowing in random directions giving me slight goosebumps.

In the summertime wind is cooling, allowing the warmth to gently enter muscle and bone while my skin feels so at ease with the world. Today was almost still and I found myself in joyful anticipation, absorbing the bright colours of the new foliage and buds.

"We should probably head inside if we don't want to be all soaked in rain." Archie spoke rubbing his hands on his arms feeling a bit cold. I had a black sweatshirt on, over my blue shorts preventing me from cold.

The three of us rushed inside when the wind blew too fast and slamming doors could be heard even more.

"C'mon kids, delicious lasagna and warm soup in this perfect weather awaits you." Dad placed two bowls on table and we sat on the stools against the counter and dig in. The food was amazing.

I looked around and everything looked settled. So we were at my new apartment today and it was really tiring with carrying all the boxes of stuff all the way to here. We have been doing this shifting since early morning and placing things at its right place even though furniture was already provided but still looked like I had a lot of stuff which took us whole day to settle in.

It was only an apartment before but with my little touch and my stuff like photo frames, plants, clothes, show piece items and of course us all present here eating and laughing totally gave a homey and cozy vibe.

It was two days after my last encounter with Aaron and I haven't seen him since then. Nor did I want to see him. His last words were still echoing in my head and was creeping onto me. I really don't know what's wrong with him or is he just like that? Or some circumstances made him like that? Well whatever it was, the guy was still a mystery to me.

I did speak with Ashton though. We had exchanged numbers and I was honestly regretting doing that because he keeps blowing my phone with his messages or calls. First he called me to check on me because I was with Aaron afterall and later he called me because he was getting bored. And I made a mistake of telling him that it's my moving day and he so desperately wanted to help. He was here helping us and he even got along so easily with my friends but then he had to leave because something came up.

"Dammit! It's raining so heavily outside." We all turn our heads to see Ryan entering with Andrew dripping wet from head to toe.

"We just cleaned the floor guys! You're ruining it." I stood from my chair and handed them both towels to prevent from getting more water on my floor.

"Not really our fault, there's a heavy downpour outside incase you didn't notice." Andrew pointed out as he dried himself. I fake smiled at him and punched his shoulder. Both headed to the bathroom to freshen up.
