|Chapter thirty nine|

I turned around as I gazed into blue eyes and a very familiar feeling erupting in my lower stomach. I tried to wave it off and push his arm but he held it steadily and I continued glaring at him.

"Anyway kids," dad started, "I've to go and get Chase home as he has no ride. So I'll be back soon. Bye." With that dad held the keys of the car in his hand and walked out of the door, shutting it.

"Kids? You might be one, but I'm not." Aaron said.

"We both are kids." I rolled my eyes.

"I'm 18 and you're 17, how come we're kids?" He defended himself.

"For dad, we are."

"I'm not. Me down there," he pointed at his crotch area, "is not small."

"And that's why I always say that why do you always convert a normal freaking conversation into a sexual innuendo or about yourself?" I pointed out annoyingly.

"Oh c'mon." He held me under his arm as we both got downstairs to the basement.

We sat down and started conversing with each other. And this is what peace is. You, with your friends, normal hanging out, no stress, no tension, relieved mind, happy you and what else do you need in your life.

"Oh yeah! I remember that scene. Mae was trying to kick him but she couldn't because Ryan held her and Skyler being Skyler headed straight to him and kicked him in his balls for Mae. That was hilarious!" Jacob exclaimed.

One of our stories from last year. God, those days were hilarious. I remember that scene very well. There was a guy named Matt which was disturbing Mae a lot in a sexual way and she lunged forward to him but we didn't let her but then I couldn't resist and I kicked Matt for Mae. I'm pretty sure he isn't able to make babies anymore. That's why I threaten people that don't mess with me otherwise your case will be same as him.

*Winks*

"Yeah. That guy was disturbing me a lot." Mae exaggerated laughing.

"But now you've got the man for you right?" Bryce asked her.

Man?

I looked over at Ryan whose face was contorted in anger.

"What man?" Ashton beamed into the conversation.

"Cody." Andrew answered for Mae.

Mae was feeling a bit low I guess. I could say the from the expression on her face.

"No it didn't work out between us and we broke up and it's been quite a long since then." She said lowly. I looked at Ryan and he was as shocked as me.

Nobody talked for a solid five minutes and I've got no clue why.

"Muffin why'd you kick the guy?" Aaron broke the silence and somewhere I was thankful to him for breaking this awkward silence. I looked at him thankfully.
