|Chapter forty|

"Ugh! You're such a Jerk Aaron!" I said irritatingly to Aaron.

"Yes you're such a Jerk and a pretty boring one." Carter mocked me.

"God, there's so much sass around me today...." Aaron groaned and shook his head.

Aaron had been irritating me since he came back from his so called family party. He didn't even last half an hour there and came back. I was just sitting out on my front porch when I saw Carter and he came to me and we talked and played and pretty soon Aaron came and told us about how he got bored there. Like I said, it's weird that he was attending some family party.

Isn't it?

"Don't you want to change?" I asked Aaron.

"No. Should I?" He adjusted the blazer which was on his arm and his sleeves of the shirt were rolled up and he was looking—

"Yes you should." I replied.

"I look hot Muffin, I don't need to change."

"Yeah, but don't you feel uncomfortable in these clothes?"

"Wait—wait wait wait. Did you just agree with me that I look hot?" He raised his eyebrows with a suggestive smirk.

Wait? Did I agree?

"No..I did not say that."

"Keep telling yourself that." He walked down my porch to his house and winked at me before getting inside.

"I should also head home Skyler. I'll see you later." After hugging me Carter walked to his house.

I put my headphones on and listened to some songs while sitting out there. It was Thursday today and there was holiday from our school on some occasion which I don't care about.
So yeah......

After a while I walked inside up to my room and looked for a dress.

You might be wondering why I need dress?

Well, as throughout the day I had nothing to do so me and Cedric hung out the whole day. We went to beach and had the best time we could have. And there he asked me to accompany him to one his friend's party as a date. And parties and me don't go together but nonetheless I agreed to him. You know there were times when I never even thought of going to parties. I mean parties, what are parties? And now here I'm going to a party. Honestly, these recent days or I should say these recent months I've been going out and doing so much nuts stuff these days which is not really bad unless Austin or someone like him pops up.

Anyway, here I was looking for a dress right now which I barely own. I looked into my closet and found only jeans, t-shirts and hoodies. Well that's all I own. I looked into my closet clearly and found some dresses at the back of it. I have some but of course I never wore them.

I grabbed one green floral printed fit and flare dress with a slit cut on the side. It was a nice dress.
