People only rain on your parade. Because they're jealous of your sun and tired of their shade.

|Chapter twenty seven|

I don't why but today our recess was longer than usual. So after me and Cedric had our alone cute lunch, we headed back to the cafeteria and we got to know that there was some meeting going on among the teachers that's why the recess break is extended. And I was way more than happy.

And why shouldn't I be?

After all, I get to spend some more time with Cedric. But, unfortunately, none of that happened because Cedric had chemistry's test right after recess for which he didn't prepare and now that he has got time, he thought it's better to study.

So here I was heading towards cafeteria and of course, on my way girls were still glaring at me as if I had killed someone.

Well to be very fudging honest, I can't myself belive that all of this is actually happening, like for real. Because this is even far away from my dreams. Its just unbelievable. Who would have thought that Skyler Grayson would ever have a boyfriend? Yeah, boyfriend.

It kind of sounded weird to me thinking that Cedric's my boyfriend because it is really hard to grasp the information. It was too much for me, but in a good way.

Only thinking about how sweet he has been with me, and the way he proposed me, how he managed to take out time for all of this, I was really impressed for sure. And the feeling I used to get back in 10th standard was back falling into the pit of my heart.

I entered the cafeteria and spotted my group on our usual table and walked towards them. Precisely, I took a seat beside Aaron, not caring about anything. Because my happiness was beyond everything.

"Look who's finally here. It's been like an hour since she's in a relationship and her boyfriend is already stealing her from us." Brad commented as I sat down on my seat.

"I can see someone really happy." Ryan said ruffling my hair but I couldn't care about it and I let him just because I was really happy, otherwise if this would have been some other day and he would be doing this then he is also pretty aware about the fact that some body part of his body would have been bruised by now.

I don't like violence, but these people typically force me to do so. How pathetic!

"Wow. She just let me ruffle her hair. Skyler's really happy then. And being complete honest, I'm also very happy for you." Ryan said genuinely.

"Woohoo."

Everybody cheered on our table and we were casually talking but when I looked at my left, at Aaron, he wasn't paying attention to any of this. Instead, he found so much interest in the left over pizza in front of him.

I nudged him with my elbow and he looked into my eyes.

No emotions.

Blank.

Nothing.

But the colour of his eyes were enough to make me flutter.
Okay—I'm with Cedric now.

"Cheers there Muffin," He finally said as if trying to cheer himself up.

"Took you really long to say that. But anyway I'm still counting on it and thank you."

And then me and Aaron got back to our usual selves. You know, where we taunt each other, say narcissistic comments to each other, make fun of each other. And if I wouldn't be fighting with this guy any other day then definitely something's wrong with us.
