I look to the moon for answers, as she speaks to me through wind and stars
if only she could wrap me in her glowing crescent
As I yearn for comfort only she could give.

|Chapter eleven|

"Everybody, do revise what we did today in class." With that Mr. Salinger walked out of the classroom. This was the class of calculus which got over and I'm more than thankful for that. I hate calculus.

I packed my bag and headed out but before that someone grabbed my bag and pulled me back. I turned around to meet some guy.

"Uh, yeah?"

"Um, hey Skyler. I'm Simon." He said.

"Hey Simon." I greeted him politely. He kept looking at me without a blink in his eyes. They were amber which is actually the rarest colour I've ever seen. I couldn't ignore the fact that his eyes were beautiful.

"I just wanted to ask for your calculus notes. Uh-if you don't mind can I borrow them?"

"Yeah, sure." I opened my bag and handed him the notes.

"Thank you." He gave me a cute smile.

I gave him a smile back. That guy was somewhat weird.

I walked out of the class towards my locker. After the party thing arose and everybody were ready to go except for me, I mostly decided to ignore Mae. I didn't want to do that because afterall she's my best friend but I was left with no choice. Ryan, Andrew, Jacob, Brad and Bryce, they all tried to convince me but I had my mind fully prepared which was a no.

I reached the locker where I saw all of my friends standing there. I hope there's no more party thing.

"Hi." I greeted everyone like I usually did. But nobody greeted me back and had blank looks on their faces.

"So..." I tried to make a conversation but, no use.

I sighed.

"Alright.......Guys, if this is still about the partying thing then I'm really sorry but I really can't come along with you. There's no point of me coming. Why don't you guys go without me? And most important tomorrow is Tuesday and who the hell do a party on Tuesdays and also I've to submit a very important project tomorrow so it's a complete—"

"Tomorrow's not the party goddammit! It's on Saturday. And I repeat, we are going there. That's it." Mae cut me off.

"That's it!" Ryan, Andrew, Jacob, Brice and Brad shouted and then they walked away.

"Guys! You kidding me?" I yelled in the corridor but nobody turned around.

They just left me there. Seriously?

I strode from there, irritated by them. Yes, irritated. Highly irritated.

Morning came way too soon, with sun mercilessly concentrating on displaying it's light towards the one particular window that happened to exist right above my bed.

My day turned out as ordinary as one would expect it to be, with me complaining about waking up and going to school, dad as usual, humming incessantly to some of the songs playing and Chase annoying me like he does all the time.

I turned my head to my right which gave me a perfect view of Aaron's room but he wasn't in his room. His room was completely made and clean. It's been long since I've seen him.

But wait-why am I thinking of him?

I lazily got up and headed straight to the bathroom. I switched on the light and as soon as I did, it starting blinking again and again.
