“Imagine—you and me, old and happy, hand in hand, on the porch of our house, watching the sunset.”

|Chapter forty one|
I glared at Aaron who sat comfortably on the chair right next to me with a smug look on his face.
Jerk! I gave him a look 'I will deal with you later'.
"Cedric is something. 'Cause that hickey is huge." Ryan exaggerated as I heard Aaron snort. I hope he choke on it.
"You bitch!" Someone snarled from behind me and I turned around to come face to face with Alyson Jones.
"Oh hey Alyson. What brings you here?" I asked her with a fake enthusiasm.
"Don't act innocent."
"I literally have no idea what you're talking about."
"Last night when you rang him," she pointed at Aaron, "thinking he was some taxi man."
"Yeah what about that?" I pretended to be so interested in this conversation, but only pretended, I would rather stare at a worthless dog than this.
"We were in fucking middle of something. Literally in the middle when your call came and he immediately got away from me and walked away hurriedly."
"I didn't do it on purpose. I thought I did ring some taxi man."
"Oh yeah, and you think I'd believe that?" She said inching closer to me.
"Alyson, just leave it. She was drunk and she didn't know what she was doing." Mae took a stand for me and I looked at her thankfully.
"No. She wasn't drunk but actually she did it on purpose," really? Why would I do that? "Just because you and Aaron are friends, doesn't mean you can just call him anytime you feel like. Do you even have any idea we were in the middle of sex? And then after your call came he's up the instant and leaves me to rescue your dumb drunken ass."
Aaron was having sex with her? Didn't he dump her?
I looked at him for some help but he just looked at me innocently. I swear I'm gonna rip his head off.
"Aaron? Maybe you want to help me out here with this thing?" I said through gritted teeth.
"I think she's right." He said getting up pointing at Alyson. What? He thinks she's right? "Just because we're friends and all doesn't mean you can call me anytime. And we were in middle of something very good...which you ruined not that I complain about it after..you know." He winked at me refering to what happened last night between me and him.
Is he serious? If he thinks I ruined their night, so he shouldn't have come to rescue me in the first place. I could've asked Cedric to drive me home who was willing to do it.
"Okay," I said nodding my head. I turned to Alyson, "I'm sorry for ruining your night."
With that I took my bag, slung it over my shoulder and walked out of the cafeteria hearing my name called by Mae and Ryan. They've got to know that I need some alone time right now.
I don't know why that hurt me so much when Aaron didn't take stand for me but it just hurt. He calls me important but his actions aren't justifying it so far.
I walked to the playground and sat on the stairs. I was so pissed right now. Not on Alyson but on Aaron. How dare he could say that? A minute before he's good with you and the next minute he ruins everything. What's wrong with that guy? And what came into me last night that I kissed his neck and bloody stuff? Why would I do that? Like really? I've a boyfriend for some sake.
