|Chapter thirty six|

Today was the day.

Saturday.

Every other Saturday would be a normal one for me where I would chill, wear my weird pajamas, sit whole day in my bed, sip copious of coffee, read a book, listen to music and most of all sleep.

But today was different.

Very very different.

You got it right people!

Today was my very first date with one and only Cedric Walker.

This is too good to be true. Mostly, this was unbelievable if you ask me. Me being his girlfriend and all that couple stuff was obviously different for me but nonetheless I was enjoying all this a lot. And now today was the date and I was beyond excited. I was exhilarating the whole day. Chase kept on asking me about why was I grinning like a maniac the whole day and to his answer I just smiled at him which annoyed him more.

Dad told me almost ten times that if we're getting serious even one bit then we better use protection because he don't want one more child in the house—two are already enough. Any other day I'd be offended by his words but today was special and I nodded at dad; more like ignored him.

Since the morning itself it has been amazing for me. When I woke up in the morning it wasn't like I was grumpy like usual but I was a whole lot of excited and there was a cute teddy bear by the side of my bed which was by Cedric. There was also a note which says:

Morning sweet Skyler-Wyler,
Hope this day will bring loads of joy to you and I hope I'll be a great gentleman today just for you. Not only today, but forever.

So be ready by 7pm. I'll be by your doorstep showering love to you.

Your one and only boyfriend,

Cedric:)

I sat in my bed for fifteen minutes just staring at the note and smiling like a fool.

And right now it was 5pm and I didn't have any idea what to wear because of which I was freaking out. So I decided to call Mae but she wasn't picking up. God! Come on Mae, it's a very important day and you can't bail on me, not today. I again called her but she didn't pick up. I called her for the fifth time when she finally picked up. I was ready to scold her for not picking my call but she cut me off first.

"You had better be dying." She mumbled.

I narrowed my eyes. "Seriously Mae? Why weren't you picking my phone? I called you like five times—"

"If you just called to lecture me then sorry some other time. I'm literally craving for sleep right now."

"Are you still asleep? It's five o'clock in the evening Mae."

"Did you just call me to relay the time? I swear to—"

"Jesus woman! Will you calm down? What's wrong with you? And why are you sleeping at this time?"

"I'm sleeping because my head is burning right now." She groaned.

"And that is because?" I questioned her.

"And that is because yesterday I went to a party and there I drank so much vodka and I'm having a hangover right now. So my head is practically throbbing right now." She growled.
