I laid sprawled out on my bed. Exams were coming up and I wasn't prepared at all. At least in my opinion, Pin thought I was really smart but I think that she was lying. I tried typing in her number by heart so I could send her a text.

I'm not 'Pin' I think you have the wrong number.

I was gonna end the conversation there but I had an urge to keep talking with whoever this was.

I sent him a photo of me with a peace sign. I had my short, green hair out and I was wearing my round glasses. He sent a photo of himself shortly after. His hair was a literal fire and his skin tone was a warm ivory.

We talked over the weeks and became closer everyday. I told Pin about him today and she was super happy. "He could be your boyfriend! Oh! Oh! You should try to meet up with him!" I gasped.

That was a great idea. Me and Firey do call but I've always wanted to meet him in person! I got out my phone and tapped on his contact.

Hey Firey my friend had a really good idea!

She said that we should try to meet up in person!

The following week we spent mostly arranging for Firey to come over. He was coming in a few days! I was unbelievably excited! We cleaned up the two guest rooms for his family.

"I'm so excited!" I said as Pin and I walked to the cafe near school. She was happy that I getting excited and before long we arrived at the cafe. I have a part time job here so I can get a bit of extra money for school but I didn't have work today.

We got the usual and sat down at a booth. "What are you gonna do when Firey gets here?" She asked, trying to catch the tip of her paper straw(save the turtles I'm not a vsco girl) in her mouth.

"Probably hang out... I don't know." She face palmed. "I'll figure it out later!" I said sipping my ice tea. Pin shrugged and got out her sketchbook. I pushed up the rim of my glasses and analysed what she was drawing.

I sighed when I saw Coiny's signature hairstyle was drawn on the male base. "Just confess to him already Pin!" She jumped at my sudden outburst and turned a bright red. "I could never! He probably doesn't like me back..."

I looked at my watch to see it was 6:00pm. "Oh shoot! It's six already! I should head home!" I said to Pin. She just nodded and smiled. I grabbed my bag and began running home.

I made it in a record five minutes and knocked on the door. I was too tired to get out my keys. "Coming!" I heard someone yell. They didn't sound like my mum. The door creaked open to reveal...

"Firey! You're here already!"

He laughed before hugging me tightly. "Your mum thought it'd be a good idea!" I hugged him back.

"I'm just glad you're here..."

"Same goes Leafy."
