Paintbrush's POV

The hospital came into view. She was okay! She was really okay! The doctors called me and said she woke up. I can see her now! I reached the door and pushed it open. I walked up to the reception where a lady was on the computer. "I'm here to see Patient 52" She tapped on a few keys before asking for my name and telling me where she was.

I thanked her quickly and sprinted up the stairs. She was only on the second level so it would be fine. I rushed through the hall and stopped at her door. I was scared really. Test Tube and Fan came before me and they haven't responded to any of my messages since then.

I took a deep breath and opened the door. Fan sat by the door, head in his hands while Test Tube sat on a chair next to the bed in which Lightbulb was in. Now normally Fan would be typing something up in his blog so this wasn't normal at the slightest. I gulped and walked over to Lightbulb's bed. I sat on the chair opposite to where Test Tube was.

"Hey Test Tube, what's wrong?" She sighed and got out her notepad, pushing up her glasses. "I didn't wanna have to say this to you but seems the doctors have left the area... Lightbulb has amnesia from the accident." I looked down at Lightbulb and she looked at me.

"W-Who is this Test Tube?" I covered my face as I felt my eyes fill with tears. "This is your best friend Paintbrush." She then mumbled something inaudible to her before clearing her throat. "Now do you remember Paintbrush's gender at all?" She looked at me before grasping her head tightly.

"Hey! Hey! Don't stress yourself! I-It's okay if you don't remember!" She gave me a soft smile and hugged me tightly. Fan eventually came over. "Anything?" Test Tube shook her head in defeat. He sighed and went back where he was before. "Do you remember what happened during the accident?" She shook her head and slipped deeper beneath the covers.

"I'm sorry I can't remember you... I really wish I could, you seem like a really nice person!" I felt my eyes tear up but I smiled anyways. I felt my hair begin to spark and before I knew it my hair was sparking a brilliant blue. The cold flame flickered and sent out cold embers as I covered my tear stained face.

Test Tube rushed to my side and seemed to document a few things before attempting to calm me down. Fan didn't seem too bothered as he already knew my flame was almost harmless when I was sad. I peeked through the cracks of my fingers to see Lightbulb grasping her head again. It seems Fan was attending to her though.

Why? Why did she have to be involved in the accident? Why couldn't it have been me instead? "Calm down Paintbrush. You're going to freeze the room." I took a deep breath and wiped away my tears. My hair was still a light shade of blue but it wasn't a flame at least. I sighed and scurried through my small tote bag to see a small picture I took with Baxter not too long ago.

I slowly handed her the photo and looked away. I was struggling not to cry. She brushed the glass a few times and traced around both of us with her finger before smiling. "Was his name... B-Baxter?" I felt a smile form on my face. "Yes! Well done Lightbulb!" She smiled proudly and hugged the photo. "Can I keep the photo?" I lightly laughed and nodded. "We took it for you... So you wouldn't feel lonely." She smiled and giggled.

"Golly look at the time! I have to go!" We all said our goodbyes before Test Tube ran off to who knows where. Fan sat next to the bed and took her spot. "Do you remember anything new?" She thought for a moment before peeking up. "Fan has a blog a-and Paintbrush was... C! None of the above!" I felt tears of joy sting my eyes and I hugged her tightly. "Yes! Yes! That's it!" We spent the rest of the day chatting and helping her remember things.

However, every day must come to an end to make way for a new one. "Cya Lightbulb!" We waved to Fan as I packed my things. "Hey Painty?" I looked up to see Lightbulb with a small frown. "You'll visit me tomorrow right?" I smiled and gently kissed her forehead. "Of course..." She smiled with a light blush complimenting her look.

I swung my bag over my shoulder and made my way to the door. "Just one more thing Lightbulb." She looked up at me curiously.

"I got you gal..."
