Liy's POV
I stood around fiddling with a knife. "Ugh, when am I gonna get a human?" Tree growled. "You just won't stop complaining will you?" I shook my head innocently. Pen made his way into the room. "Oh hey Tree!" Tree shot him a wave before glaring at me. He moved his gaze to the calendar situated not too far behind me. "Well the next collection is in two days, you can have that one I guess..."
I smiled. "Really?!" Tree sighed. "Anything to get you to stop annoying me..." Pen came and hugged Tree from behind. "Are we getting another human?" Tree nodded. "Oh! Yay! Another friend!" Pen said bouncing around. Tree blushed lightly before turning his head away. I chuckled smugly. "I'll leave you two be..." Tree's blush amplified by thousands. "LIY!" I smiled and flew to my room.
I shut the door as fast as I could before stretching my wings. I wandered around for a while before deciding to go spy on some humans. I'm gonna get one soon after all! I jumped out the window and flew to just below the clouds. They were pretty low so I could see the humans. I quickly made myself invisible and fell to the ground.
Strategically of course. I made my way around and analysed everyone around. One human really caught my eye however. She had light blond hair with blueberry stripes and a long dress. She wore an apron that read, 'Cake and Pie's Bakery.' I smiled, I liked this one. I followed her little further till she reached a house. "Oh hello Pie!"
So that's her name. I grinned and flew back up. I kicked down the door for the 30th time this week. "TREE I FOUND MY FUTURE WIFE!" He peeked his head out of the kitchen with Pen not long after. Both of them had messed up hair and were flustered. "Oh. Did I interrupt something?" Pen flushed even more while Tree sighed. "Yes. Yes you did Liy." Tree deadpanned.
I burst into laughter. "Anyways who is you're so called 'future wife'?" Tree got out a notepad. "Her name is Pie and she looked so beautiful... Her silky hair, her periwinkle eyes..." Tree cut me off before I could continue. "I'll inform Four about it." He grabbed Pen's wrist and dragged him back into the kitchen. Probably for another make out session. "I'll just tell him myself then Tree!"
I headed to Four's office and knocked on the door. "Come in..." He mumbled. I opened the door to see Four leaning on his desk with papers all over the room. "Yo, you good boss?" He groaned and sat up. "I'm fine. What do you need?" He snarled. Four could be scary when he wanted to be. "Well collection day is in two days and Tree said I could choose a human!" Four immediately perked up.
All the papers and dirt suddenly disappeared while Four smiled an unnatural smile. His room changed depending on how he felt. "Name?" I listed off all of the things he needed. Four smiled with a light blush before flying out the window. He loves going down to Earth because then gets to meet X. I'm 100% sure they're dating. X is all Four ever talks about anymore.
I wobbled over to my room and marked the day on my calendar. Soon the day will come...

I smiled as I looked in the mirror. "Lookin good Liy!" I said to myself before leaving the room. I was going to finally meet her today! I ran to Four's office to see the door was already open. Tree and Pen were aggressively making out while Four was gay-dreaming. "I'm ready boss!" He smiled and the ground began to open underneath us. The furniture remained in their places while floating.
Tree scooped up Pen and soared down with us following not too long after. We carefully landed on the ground in X's office. I straightened my tuxedo as Four leaped onto X. "Four! Careful! You could've ripped the papers!" X was short and lean while Four was tall and muscular. Four lifted X up and spun him around with joy. "But I missed you X!" He said with a smile.
Never had I ever felt so single in my thousand year lifetime.
X checked his watch before whispering something to Four. They both nodded and went outside. "Wonder what that was about-" The ground shook as a huge bell rang through the city. Soon everyone had arrived by a small stage. I was hidden in X's office. "Hello everyone!" X announced happily. "Today someone will be chosen by a demon." The crowd began to quietly murmur before stopping.
"Do note that if you are chosen, you are highly privileged." A man from the crowd booed him. "As if! Demons are monsters!" The entire crowd raged at him while X tried to calm them down. Four stood silently shooting glares at me every now and again. "Okay, now that everyone calmed down, the chosen person is..." All the people began whispering whilst making theories of all sorts.
"Pie Baker!" Gasps echoes around as everyone looked to a specific spot. People made a small path to the stairs and from it emerged the beauty herself. She stood on the stage and gave Four a gentle smile. X winked at me to say I could come up. I scrunched up my wings before walking onto the stage.
"H-Hi there!" I said as not to scare her. "O-Oh, hello there!" X took our hands and put them together. "I now pronounce you, human and demon!"
Alright! I know this is shorter than other chapters but I've been really busy I have a lot of requests to do But the next chapter isn't going to be one I'm just gonna do my own sorta chapter so ye I also have a puppy to look after You can have a picture UwU
