3rd POV
The sky glowed an iridescent orange as Lollipop wandered the desolate streets.
A week ago, she woke up to find absolutely no one around. The electricity was still running, the grocery stores would still be restocked and the mail was still delivered. However, even when the sky was its classic shade of blue, lacking anything that would make a day bad, the world was still empty. If Lollipop were to be asked how she felt about the world's state, she would simply say it was boring and then beg whoever asked to stay with her forever.
Something she struggled to admit however, was how much she missed her friends.
Whether it was Leafy's constant nagging, Book being overly possessive or even Teardrop's silent judgement, their absence left a void in her heart.
Arriving home, Lollipop didn't bother to lock the door as she went over to her computer. She booted it up and began browsing social media.
(E/N: Kids, remember to lock your doors or I- uh I mean, the bogeyman will steal your kneecaps)
Oh yeah, apparently everyone was still around but couldn't see her or something.
She was filed as a missing person and a nationwide manhunt was occurring. The results were evidently useless. She could post on her account for everyone to see, which was something that heavily confused authorities, so it caused her to stop.
It's not like they were gonna find her anyways.
She scoured the internet for something to do, an effort that ended up fruitless. It was the same content and it bored her. She clicked into a Netflix show she had watched 5 times that week and drowsily pressed the play button.
"No Gumdrop, you don't have to do this." Lollipop monotonously recited.
"Flute, I must, for love." She attempted an impression, miserably failing as she did.
As Flute professed their love for Gumdrop, Lollipop rested her head in her hands with a sigh.
"God, what am I doing?" She spoke in sync with Gumdrop.

The creak of the swing Lollipop sat upon consumed the evening noise. She had decided to take a break when she stumbled by a playground on her way back home from the city.
The moment felt childlike, something greatly contrasting to how Lollipop had felt throughout her 'week in hell.' All of these responsibilities were suddenly thrown on her with nowhere and no-one she could go to for help. Lollipop pushed herself further back, the wind blowing through her tight curls. The sunset was clouded over while soft shades of pink leaked into it. She would've thought the sight breathtaking if someone were there to enjoy it with her. Sighing tiredly, she hopped off the swing and picked up her bags, preparing to head home.
