We are all given a pendant at birth with a time that is specific to only two. The time is when you will find out who your soulmate is. You may have already met them but you will see them at that exact moment.

Each pendant is a different colour and it'll turn a beautiful gold when you kiss your soulmate. If you were to have children, they're colour would be mix of both you and your soulmate. Sometimes soulmates can be platonic and that's fine too.

If your soulmate were to die, the colour of your pendant would change depending how. If it was natural, a dark green. If it was by someone else, dark red. If it was self inflicted, pitch black. If it was accidental, navy blue.

When the timer on your pendant runs out, it gets replaced with a picture of your soulmate and their name. Golly, I'm such a nerd when it comes to these things... Oh! I forgot to introduce myself!

My name is Leafy Evergreen and this is the story of how I met my soulmate. I was a year 10 student at object high but I wasn't really well known, at least in my opinion. I sat with some of the most popular people in the school though!

Firey and Coiny, the two most 'handsome' boys in the school. Golf Ball and Tennis Ball, the smartest people at school. Finally, Woody and Teardrop are the cutest couple. They're all super nice people!

I sighed with content as I reached the school gates. "Hey Leafy!" I turned around to see Coiny running up to me. I waved to him as he reached my side. "Did you hear? A new girls coming!" I looked over at him. "No, but I just hope she's nice!" I replied happily.

We both walked to our lockers and put our bags away. "Hey Coiny!" I noticed him blush before turning around to face Firey. "Hey dude! What's up?" I stood back and watched the two. "Ah, nothing much... How 'bout you?" Firey rubbed his neck with a slight blush as he spoke.

"Well there is a new girl coming today!" Coiny exclaimed with a jump. As they continued to talk, I lifted up my lime pendant and peered inside.

I gasped. The blushing boys looked over at me with curiosity. "What is it Leafy?" I showed them my pendant. "I'm finding out who my soulmate is today!" I shouted with shock and excitement.

Coiny opened his pendant up and his eyes widened with shock. "I'm meeting mine after school!"(school is 6 hours btw) We both looked at Firey. "I left mine in my locker... I'll go grab it!" He said jogging off. Once he was out of earshot I asked Coiny the question.

"Do you like Firey?" His cheeks beamed a bright red. "N-No of c-course not!" I looked at him smugly. "Ugh fine! I do okay!" I dragged the blushing mess into the classroom. We talked a bit about his confession and before long the bell rang to our first class.

All my friends were in the same home room as me. "Good morning students today we have another brat- I mean student joining the class. Come and introduce yourself." My mouth was left agape when I saw the new girl enter the room.

"Hi there! My name is Pin Sharp and ummm... I like life!" She had shining silver hair and eyes. She was wearing a red singlet and a black skirt. I quickly closed my mouth. Low chance she was my soulmate but I really wished she was...

"Go sit next to Leafy in the back. Leafy raise your hand." I snapped back into reality and raised my hand. "She'll show you around too." I gave her a bright smile as she came and sat with me. "Hi there! My name's Leafy- Oh wait! You already know that! Silly me!"

I giggled at my own mistake making Pin laugh along with me. "Well it's lovely to meet you Leafy!" The teacher then announced it was a free period before leaving. "Come on! I'll introduce you to my friends!" I said dragging her to my friend group.

We soon made it past the crowd and joined my friends. "These are my friends! Coiny, Firey, Golf Ball, Tennis Ball, Woody and Teardrop!" I explained in one breath.

They all introduced themselves to her and quickly became friends. The bell for the next period rung and I walked to my class on photography. I found photography was a fun and calming subject so I really enjoyed it.

I sat on my respective seat and got my camera out. The teacher walked to the front. "Today, you'll be pairing up with one of the art students and taking photos." I smiled knowing that Coiny did photography and Firey did art. Perfect!

The door creaking open caught all our attention. It was the art students! "Feel free to choose your partner and get started! You are free to roam around the school but you need at least 3 pictures." Everyone agreed and started pairing up.

I wasn't the type to take pictures of others as I found more interest in nature. "Hey Leafy, wanna pair up?" I turned around to see Pin standing and waving at me. I nodded and walked over to her. We both decided to go outside and take pictures there.

I showed her my favourite tree. It was an old but beautiful willow tree. "C'mon! Let's take a photo here!" I exclaimed. She nodded and ran to the tree. I took a few photos and deleted them all except the best one.

I then guided her to the garden and we took a few photos there. For the final few pictures I took her to a beautiful section of the school. "A Cherry Tree..." Pin was in awe, as was everyone when I showed them the place.

I took the opportunity as Pin was really photogenic! I took a few photos before sitting with her by the tree. "Can I take a photo on your camera Leafy?" Pin asked looking towards me.

"Of course!" I said giving her the camera. I quickly explained the basics to her. She then told me to stand by the tree and I followed along. "Smile!" I was still walking over so I quickly turned around in confusion.

"Perfect!" She exclaimed sitting next to me at the base of the tree. We both sat in a comfortable silence as Pin went through my camera roll. Then it hit me. My pendant!

I opened up the pendant and tried not to scream.

Not even an hour's left! I happily let my pendant go. The bell let out a loud ring and we walked into the crowded halls. I took my time as to watch my pendant. I placed my bag away and continued walking through the hall.

Time passed quickly and the 10 minutes disappeared in what felt like seconds. Perhaps it was my excitement tugging my body through time. I skipped through the almost empty halls as my happiness boosted my energy through the roof.

I peeked at my pendant, ready to finally meet my soulmate.

My skip slowed to an anxious walk.

What if I don't like this person?

I shook my head. No Leafy stay happy! Your meeting your soulmate!

I anxiously smiled from fear and excitement.

"Oof!"
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! Are you oka-"

We both looked into each other's eyes. Her's a shining silver, mine a soft green. "P-Pin?" Both our cheeks were flushed. Neither of us were expecting this to be the outcome. We both knew as we looked at each other that we weren't platonic soulmates...

Because we were in love.

Boooooooom finally I really wanted to finish this lol. This is one of my many AU's and I really like this one. Thanks for the requests and comments too!
