3rd POV

Trophy wasn't good at the whole... emotions thing. He'd never understood why people would react in certain ways towards him, nor why some of the things he said or did were considered 'wrong'. But lately, he was trying a little harder to understand – mostly because of Cheesy egging him on.

Cheesy... Where did he even begin with Cheesy? Cheesy was the embodiment of all things good in life. He skipped by with a bright smile and an equally bright personality, lighting up Trophy's day in a way that not even the sun could.

But nowadays, Cheesy's days seemed dreary in a way that Trophy couldn't quite place. The once sunny comedian was now drenched in a rainfall of sadness. Trophy was sure that it was something he'd said to him that had influenced such a mood, and it was a regrettably well-evidenced fact.

However, that didn't matter at the moment because Cheesy was missing. He hadn't come back to the hotel for the whole day. Trophy seemed to be the only one who was worried, which made sense when you realised that he had memorised Cheesy's daily timetable. It was yet another thing that he didn't understand; why he cared so much about Cheesy. He would talk to someone about it, but no one liked him other than Cheesy himself. The internet told Trophy that he was in love. He refused to believe their irrational claims. There was no way that Trophy would like Cheesy of all people. Not that cringey idiot.

"Trophy, calm down."

Soap was trying to comfort the jock as he paced around the room in frustration.

"You don't get it! He was meant to be home an hour ago. He's never late, stupid!"

"Trophy-"

"What if he's dead? What if he ran away or something?"

Soap was clearly growing annoyed by this point. She thought that Trophy was overreacting. I mean, Cheesy was a pretty reliable guy. He wouldn't go out and get himself hurt... right?

"Trophy, you need to calm down. If you do, we can try and work together to figure out where Cheesy went, okay?"

The jock nervously looked around the room before grumbling an 'okay' and sitting down shakily.

"Was there anything that happened today that might have influenced him to stay out longer?"

Cheesy smiled as he skipped across the well-worn concrete of the hotel's roof. His comfy, yellow headphones were blasting egg's cover of 'listen before i go' into his ears. Honestly, who could blame him? The tune was catchy and it was a total bop.
