Match's POV

I hate everything right now.
I had a toxic relationship with Eraser and when I broke up with him, he got really mad and managed to send me to hospital. I traced over the bandages on my right eye. I never told anyone. Everyone must've thought that I ran away.

I sighed as the swing went up and down with every push I made. The moon highlighted the dew drops on the grass. I felt tears wet my bandages as I let my barrier fall. I let my emotions loose as my sobs echoed through the empty park. I froze when I heard footsteps.

Covering my face, I stayed as quiet as possible. I heard them stop and sit on the swing next to me. "M-Match? Are you okay?" I raised my head up to see Pencil sitting there with a worried look plastered on her face. "O-Oh, like h-hey P-Pencil!" I tried to sound enthusiastic but she wasn't buying it.

Pencil has been my best friend since we were kids and our friendship has only grown closer. I looked away to try and hide myself from her. To my surprise, she hugged me tightly from behind, burying her face into my back. "I was so worried about you! I've been looking for you everywhere!"

I peered back to see Pencil was crying. I turned around in her arms and hugged her back. "I-I asked Eraser where you were and he said you were at the hospital but when I went there they said you already left! A-And I got so worried!"

"Hey it's, like okay Pencil... We're both, like okay at least right?" She looked up at me but shook her head. Gently, she caressed my right eye. I felt my cheeks heat up at the gentle motion but it was soothing on my damaged eye. "What happened?"

Her caring silver eyes gazed into my conflicted red one. I sighed and unraveled the bandage almost completely covering the right of my face. What replaced my usually clear skin was a black eye and a scar trailing down my cheek from what I knew.

I gasped in shock when everything was still black on my right, even after taking off the bandages. "U-Uh Pencil? I still, like can't see..." She looked at me in shock as she looked at my eye. "M-Match, I think you went blind in this eye..."

I felt tears roll down my face again. "Why! Why did Eraser have to do this to me?" I screamed out of anger. I covered my mouth in shock of my own words. 'I wasn't supposed to tell anyone... Gosh Eraser's gonna kill me!' I thought as Pencil stared at me in horror.

"HE did this to you? I heard you guys broke up and there was a small fight but I didn't know it escalated that far!" She got off the swing, rage covering her face. "I'm gonna go have a chat with him." She stated as she began to walk off.

"No! Don't!" I shouted, pulling her toward me. I must've pulled to hard because she fell on me and we both landed on the grass. I felt my face reach a similar colour to that of my hair as Pencil slowly processed the situation before leaping off me.

"I'm so sorry!" We both shouted at the same time. Looking into her eyes, I realised how much she meant to me. Those eyes displayed all the memories we made together because they were always the same. I hugged her tightly.

"Y'know Pencil, I don't, like think I love Eraser anymore."

"Why is that Match?"

"Because my, like type is standing, like right in front of me."

Done! Sorry this took so long! It's the day before school starts so I'm super sad since I moved schools for the first time. I wanna cryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :(
