The star yacht landed on Endor. "It's time to begin your training," Ben told Hux.
"Wonderful" Hux was completely unenthusiastic.
"First, there's something that I want to show you," Ben said. "Follow me."
Hux followed him closely wondering what it was that he wanted to show him.
Ben led him to his room in the Finalizer. "Don't... don't be alarmed."
That just made Hux alarmed instead of claiming him for what he was about to see.
"I've never shown this to anyone else... but I think you should see it." He pulled out Darth Vader's helmet and placed it on the table for Hux to see. "This belonged to our grandfather."
Hux looked at it intrigued but also kinda freaked out "what is it?" Hux asked.
"Darth Vader's helmet, I found it here on Endor." Ben replied.
"Huh it's not how I pictured it" Hux said trying to get a closer look.
Ben nodded. "Sometimes I can feel the presence of Darth Vader lingering around the mask."
Hux looked up at him "cool" he finally said.
Ben nodded. "Are you ready?"
Hux nodded solemnly.
Ben led him to the training room. "Unfortunately I don't have an extra lightsabers, so we'll have to use training staffs, and you'll have to use mine. But be careful with it, if you put your hand in the wrong place you'll burn a hole in your hand."
Hux eyes widened "can't we start with something easier"
Ben nodded. "Don't worry, we'll start with the basics. The most important thing isn't teaching you to use a lightsaber, it's teaching you to use the Force, and more importantly to feel it."
"Good to know."
Ben sat down on the floor with his legs crossed. He gestured to the floor in front of him. "Have a seat."
Hux awkwardly sat in the floor crossing his leg which wasn't easy.
Ben smirked. "I can tell that you haven't done this much, don't worry you'll get used to it. It gets easier over time. Now close your eyes."
Hux did as he said not at all enjoying this.
"Reach out."
"With what?" Hux asks opening one eye.
Ben was slightly disappointed that he didn't simply stretch out his hand, he was kind of hoping to use the age old trick from his uncle Luke. "Your feelings," he answered. He placed his hand over is own heart. "From here."
"Oh" he closed his eye again and started to concentrate.
"Can you feel the Force?" Ben asked.
"I feel friction"
"What kind of friction?"
"Like a unbalanced scale" Hux resounded.
"That's the Force." Ben replied. "Do you see anything?"
"A tree" Hux said "a old one."
Ben was curious. "Anything else?"
"It was burning" Hux said solemnly.
"That's strange... anything else?" Ben was curious about what this vision meant and he was searching for any hint he could find.
"I see a broken ship being pulled from muddy water like quick sand"
"Can you tell what type of ship it is?" Ben asked.
"A big one, I've never seen one before" Hux answered.
Ben nodded, even though he knew that Hux couldn't see him. "Anything else?"
"Blood stained snow, giant trees being pulled up from the roots"
Ben's brows creased as he tried to figure out what all of it meant.
"There's a silhouette of two girls fighting back to back, then a falling cane, then pitch black, now two suns rising" Hux opened his eye panting hard then leaned back to lay on the floor "that's all I see" he breathed.
"Wow... I wish I could tell you what all of that meant... but I don't know." Ben replied.
"That felt really weird" Hux said.
"It does, especially the first time. Do you feel different... do you feel a connection to the Force?"
"I feel tried, nothing but tried" Hux replied.
Ben nodded. "Maybe you should get some rest," he suggested.
"Wise idea" Hux said walking over to Ben's couch and falling face first onto it.
Ben shook his head and smirked. Then he let out a small sigh and buried his head in his hands, he couldn't help but worry that he wasn't doing a good enough job.
Ben felt a gentle touch on his shoulder. "Are you okay?" asked a familiar voice.
"Yes... I just feel like I'm not good enough."
"For what?" Rey asked him.
"To teach Hux how to use the Force," he answered.
"Hux has the Force?" Rey asked surprised.
Ben sat up and looked at her. "Yes... he's a Skywalker... he's Luke's son."
"Luke's son?" Rey asked surprised.
Ben nodded. "I just found out. And he has the Force, but he doesn't know how to use it, so I agreed to train him."
Rey nodded.
"Rey...I have to tell you something."
"Yes?" she asked, looking at him hopefully.
"Luke told Hux that there was a darkness rising," Ben replied.
Rey seemed slightly disappointed. "What darkness?"
"Luke didn't say," Ben replied. "All he said was that the only way we could stop it was if we join together... the First Order and the Resistance."
Rey nodded.
"I need your help. Can you help me arrange a meeting with the leaders of the First Order and the leaders of the Resistance?"
"I'll do everything I can, Ben," she promised, grabbing his hand.
Ben offered her a small smile and he brushed his thumb over the top of her hand.
"Where should we meet?" Rey asked.
"Do you think you could convince the Resistance to come to Endor?" he asked.
"Endor?... yes, I think you mother mentioned that the rebellion spent some time there."
Ben nodded in confirmation. "I'll order the First Order not to fire on your ship, I don't know if they would listen to me, but I think that General Hux could get them to listen."
Rey nodded, then she looked into his eyes. "Do you promise not to hurt or capture any of my friends?"
"Of course," he answered sincerely. "This will be a diplomatic meeting only, no fighting. And even if we can't come to an agreement, I'll let the Resistance leave peacefully."
"Thank you, Ben," she said softly.
He nodded.
"I hope that everyone gets along," she said.
Ben rested his head on her shoulder. "Me too..." he whispered. "I can't wait to see you again."
Rey smiled shyly.
