Despite my bad mood, I couldn't deny that I was getting curious. We were standing in front of a large stage with a lot of screaming and a whole lot of music that was not cleared by the screams. I looked beside me at the grinning face of Brenda. Kaci and Joshua had already walked through to - I - know - where. "When are you going to tell me what I'm doing here?" My mood was still bad, and if they were going to be secretive for a long time, that would not change. "We're at a concert." I raised my eyebrows. "I realized that, too, yes." Brenda laughed, and I had to stop myself from not getting mad. I hated, no, I despised, surprises. "But who do you think the concert is from?" "Brenda, I don't feel like playing games. Tell me what the hell we're doing here." The anger was heard in my voice, and Brenda became severe. "I'll show you," she said before pulling me to the entrance.

Instead of taking the usual entrance, Brenda walked under a sign with VIP. After a corridor, which seemed endless, we finally came to a door where two men stood by. "Brenda and Madison." It was the only thing Brenda said. I was expecting a major rejection, but to my surprise, one of the men opened the door, and we walked on. The massive screams still transcended the music. I could only distinguish a vague tune, which seemed quite familiar to me. "Aah, there you are. It is almost done." Joshua stood with a grin on his face in front of us, but there was no sign of Kaci. Joshua started walking back, and we followed him through the few people walking around the VIP room. Not much later, we came backstage, and the music became more apparent.

When I finally understood the music, I stopped with a shock, and my heart started beating faster. Brenda and Joshua looked at me with a smile. "Come quickly; otherwise, you will miss his last number." Joshua didn't have to say more to make me walk. I walked towards the huge canvases, and the music became louder as I approached. When I was almost at the end of the canvas, I stopped. In front of me was Austin, catching his breath from his previous song. He always looked breathtaking, despite his sweaty body. I was nailed to the ground, and I only saw him.

Everything around me disappeared, and I floated away to the world where only me and Austin were. Austin grabbed his microphone again and started speaking through it. His voice sounded tired but happy. "I want to dedicate this last song to someone special, Madison." My heart almost pounded in my throat, and a tear of emotion ran down my cheek. All the spots went out, and the room was completely covered in darkness for a moment. Not long after, a spot jumped back, and Austin was at the front of the stage. He started singing along with the melody, and despite some screaming in the room, the room was silent.

Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy (ooh)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ohh (ooh)
Ayy, ayy
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

Needless to say, I keep her in check
She was all bad-bad, nevertheless (yeah)
Callin' it quits now, baby, I'm a wreck (wreck)
Crash at my place, baby, you're a wreck (wreck)
Needless to say, I'm keeping her in check
She was all bad-bad, nevertheless
Callin' it quits now, baby, I'm a wreck
Crash at my place, baby, you're a wreck
Thinkin' in a bad way, losin' your grip
Screamin' at my face, baby, don't trip
Someone took a big L, don't know how that felt
Lookin' at you sideways, party on tilt
Ooh-ooh, some things you just can't refuse
She wanna ride me like a cruise
And I'm not tryna lose

Then you're left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're a sunflower
I think your love would be too much
Or you'll be left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're the sunflower
You're the sunflower

Every time I'm leavin' on ya
You don't make it easy, no, no
Wish I could be there for ya
Give me a reason to go
Every time I'm walkin' out
I can hear you tellin' me to turn around
Fightin' for my trust and you won't back down
Even if we gotta risk it all right now, oh
I know you're scared of the unknown (known)
You don't wanna be alone (alone)
I know I always come and go (and go)
But it's out of my control

And you'll be left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're a sunflower
I think your love would be too much
Or you'll be left in the dust
Unless I stuck by ya
You're the sunflower
You're the sunflower
Yeah

After his last sentence, the music fell silent, and everyone started screaming and calling back. Austin got up and started thanking everyone before he headed in my direction. I was still nailed to the ground, and several tears ran down my face. Had he really dedicated a number to me? Austin came closer and closer but still didn't seem to see me. He was barely a meter from me when he suddenly stopped. He stared at me, and the small smile around his mouth grew bigger.

I stared into his eyes, and I almost saw them sparkling.
