(Your POV):
Peter returned to his room after patrolling, with me already there waiting for him to return. As he landed in the room, I looked up from my homework sprawled across his bed and asked, "I hope that you didn't get too many injuries tonight?"
He flashed me his stupid grin as he pulled off the mask, "knowing that you'd be waiting here to patch me up? Of course not."
"Well you should be more careful regardless if I'm here or not," I reprimanded him as he automatically deactivated his suit and sat on the bed so that I could clean his wounds and bandage them up.
"If I had known that you were going to be my personal nurse, I would've told you that I was Spider-Man months ago."
"You should have," I smiled at him, focusing on the small cuts that he had received. Some nights he returned with no injuries at all, but others he had clearly gotten into a scuffle. At least there hadn't been a gash nearly as bad as the one I had to use stitches on since that first night. "I know that I can't stop you from being Spider-Man, but I can at be here to help you when you get hurt. Anything interesting happen today?"
"Not much, I helped a lost tourist, helped someone locked out of their apartment, saved a cat stuck in a tree."
I frowned, "so where did you get these cuts?"
Peter's face reddened, "I, um, I fell out of the tree. Don't worry, the cat was fine."
Failing to repress my laughter, it burst out and I wondered how I had taken a month to catch this idiot when we first met. That only made him redder as he tried to defend himself, "hey, you try climbing back down a tree with a cat in your arms who won't stop moving."
"Yeah, but don't you have superpowers?"
"Shut up," he muttered, shoving me lightly.
I grinned up at him as I placed a small bandage on one of its cuts, sealing it with a kiss. I tried not to get distracted by his muscles as I cleaned the remaining scratches, however my eyes seemed to be getting pulled to his biceps and his abs as they tensed with the sting of the disinfectant, my tongue running over my lips.
"Like what you see?" Peter asked me, noticing my shift in attention. "Thought you'd be tired of me by now."
"I could never get tired of you," I assured him, letting my fingers run down his biceps. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulling me into his lap, immediately meeting my lips. Our tongues began to dance around each other, my fingers tracing every inch of his torso, trying to memorize every inch of his body.
As we broke apart for breath, Peter's eyes lit up, "oh, I almost forgot, the most interesting thing that happened today wasn't actually something I did on patrol."
Leaning back and resting on his legs, slightly disappointed he had remembered it while we were making out but excited to hear what he had to tell me, "really? So what was that then?"
"Tony Stark invited me to his next party. And he also invited you," he spoke with a hopeful look in his eyes. "So, do you want to go with me?"
"He invited me? H-How does he know about me?"
"I may have mentioned to him that I had a girlfriend. He's been trying to come up with an excuse to meet you for a while now and I've been evading him. But now that you know that I'm Spider-Man, would you like to meet him?"
"Tony Stark? Wow, that's-that's a lot to take in," I replied, climbing off of Peter and sitting next to him instead. "Um, when's the party? And do you know who's invited? It might be dangerous if anyone connected to parents is attending."
"Don't worry, I can check with Mr. Stark about who will be there, but I'm sure you'll be fine."
I gave him a smile, "let me know when it is, I'll see if I can make it."
"Got a busy schedule?" He teased, brushing some hair behind my ear.
"You know it," I grinned. "No, I'm just going to need to check if I'll be able to get away from my parents."
Peter fell silent at that remark, the tension that always fell when I mentioned my parents blanketing is once more. I took his hand in mine and snuggled into his still-bare chest. He traced small circles on the back of my hand, "I guess I just kinda ruined the moment, didn't I?"
I gave him a small smile, "no, don't worry about it, we'll have plenty of other moments."
"It's just- whenever your parents come up, I am filled with these uncontrollable anger fills me. And it's no longer just directed your parents, I'm angry at myself because I can't do anything to help you, at least not without your permission. I have all of these powers but I can't protect the woman that I l- that I am so lucky to call my girlfriend."
Slightly disappointed that he avoided the use of the l-word, I quickly melted my face into a mask and placed my hand on Peter's arm. "Pete, I know that you want to help me, and that means the world to me, it really does. But you don't need to help, I can handle my parents. I mean, I have been dealing with them since I was born. The beatings stop meaning anything after awhile and I know that the pain is only temporary."
"You don't deserve any of this. And how did you keep it from us? You always made your parents out to be caring. I mean, what about those movie nights that you talked about?"
I smiled slightly as his naïveté, "that was just a story I made up so that I wouldn't have to go over your apartment for your study nights. My parents detest sentimentality and have raised me to do the same. But you changed me. I would probably still be just like them if it wasn't for you. So don't say that you didn't help me because you have, more than you realize."
Cupping his cheek in my hand, I leaned up to kiss him, content with what my life had become. Sure, I was living a double life and was tasked with tracking down and killing my boyfriend. But I also got peaceful moments like these that made all of the suffering worth it.

(A/N): A little more fluff because I am a very generous writer even though I'm constantly plotting pain and catastrophe. Do you think you'll go to the party and, if you do, will there be consequences?
