(Your POV):
MJ and Ned arrived about an hour later, Ned looking relieved to see Peter recovering nicely and MJ clearly just trying to piece everything together. They joined May and I who remained in his little private room, but it was getting quite crowded with the arrival of the two new guests.

I stood from my seat and gave Peter's hand a squeeze, "I should probably leave for now so that there's more room in here, I've had more than my fair share of time with him, anyway."

"Nonsense, I'll go since you are all friends. I don't want to be that clingy aunt who hangs around when she's unwanted. Besides, maybe I can go find Captain America," May announced a bit coquettishly before kissing Peter on the cheek and then leaving the room.

Ned immediately rushed forward the moment that she was gone, "Peter, what the hell happened? Are you alright? You had me worried sick all day, especially since I could tell that (Y/N) was worried about you. I was afraid that you might have died or something! And what was that thing you were fighting? I saw a picture of it, it was like you, but ten times bigger and stronger, you don't think that it was also bitten-" He broke off with a glance towards MJ and sunk back, looking a little sheepish.

"Ok, is someone going to tell me what is going on here?" MJ finally demanded, looking increasingly frustrated. "You have been acting suspiciously since the moment I've met you, Parker, and now Ned is going on about something that you fought? Also you're getting medical treatment in the Avengers Tower and I get that you're an 'intern' but I don't think you get that special of treatment."

Peter sighed as he sat up straighter in his bed, glancing over at me for reassurance. I gave him a nod, prompting him to break out into an explanation, "I'm sorry I've had to lie to you, MJ, but I think it's time that I came clean. Ned and (Y/N) both found out by accident, I never actually meant to tell anyone but since you are the only other member in our friend group, I think you deserve to know. I'm-I'm Spider-Man, MJ."

She raised her eyebrows, "dorky Peter Parker is Spider-Man?" She paused. "Actually, that would explain a lot. It seems that you're always disappearing right before Spider-Man shows up. But how the hell did you get superpowers?"

"It's kind of a weird story," Peter started, rubbing the back of his neck. "I was bitten by a radioactive spider at Oscorp and now I have these powers."

"And both of you knew this?" MJ turned on Ned and I.

He was the first to reply, albeit hesitantly, "y-yeah I kind caught him in his suit returning to his room one day."

"Same," I added, hoping that MJ wasn't going to get too upset with us.

"So why are you here then, Spider-Man?"

"Well, I lost a fight last night and was really injured so (Y/N) brought me here to get surgery and heal. Um, Mr. Stark has been really great, he found out that I was Spider-Man a few years back and has been helping me with that. He made me my suit and even offered me a position with the Avengers at one point, but I thought it was a bit too soon."

"I still can't believe that you turned him down," Ned added, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Yeah, I sometimes wonder what would happen if I had accepted, but I'm just a high schooler, I don't think I could've handled being an actual Avenger yet."

"Has Tony told you when you are going to be released?" I asked Peter, changing the subject.

Peter shook his head, "I feel like I could just go now, with my super healing I'm feeling completely recovered. But he's probably going to be over protective and try to keep me longer."

"Wait, hold up, (Y/N), did you just call him Tony?" Ned interrupted, his eyes wide open.

I suddenly felt my face flush at the sudden attention, "um, yes? He kind of gave me permission to use his first name last night while we were waiting for Peter to wake up. I'm still getting used to it, but I'm trying to respect his wishes especially with how much he has done for Pete."

With Ned still in awe with how personal I was with Stark, we continued to hang out together in the med bay until the man himself came in and asked us all to clear out so that Peter could be checked by his doctor and hopefully discharged. They both followed Stark out obediently, but I went over to say goodbye, knowing that I needed to get home so that I could complete my missions and explain myself to my parents.

"I think I'm going to head out, Pete. I can't even imagine what my parents reaction will be, but I should probably get it over with so I can catch up on some sleep," I told him as I sat beside him on his bed.

A slightly sheepish expression washed over him, "you didn't have to stay up all night for me. But thank you for everything, I don't think I would be alive right now if it weren't for you."

"You really think I could have slept not knowing whether you would live or die? Just promise me that you'll never do something like that again," I scolded him, running my fingers through his curls.

"Maybe I like it when you worry about me, it assures me that you care."

Although I could tell he was only teasing, his comment still hurt. "You need to almost die to be assured of how much I care about you?"

"Not really, but knowing that you were at my bedside all night meant a lot to me when I woke up."

I frowned, "I wish I could have been there for that, you probably thought I had abandoned you."

"I know you would never," he cupped my cheek with his hand and closed the distance between our lips. It felt so nice to be kissing him again, his warm lips reminding me that he had truly survived. He pulled me closer to him, his hand on my check running down to my hip and pressing me against him. I had one hand still entangled in his curls and the other resting beside him to keep my balance while I leaned over him.

As his hand slipped beneath my shirt, I finally pulled away, "we should stop, this isn't the place for this. Besides, I'm sure Tony's got your heart being monitored and you wouldn't want him to rush in because it's getting unusually high."

He grinned up at me, "I did almost die, didn't I? I think he would be the most likely to understand."

"Well then I promise once you are released from here and completely recovered from your injuries, I will continue this," I smiled, placing a chaste kiss on his lips before climbing off his bed. "Wish me luck will you?"

"Would you like me to follow you home and step in as Spider-Man if they try to hurt you?"

"No, I'm sure I can use my words to weasel my way out of trouble. You stay here and rest."

With that, I left Peter's side and informed Stark that I was leaving. My parents were surprisingly not home yet when I walked in, so I completed my missions for the day before returning home to explain myself to them.

"So what were you doing at the Avengers Tower last night into this morning?" I was berated by my father almost the second I stepped through the door.

I sighed as I collapsed into a chair, exhausted by both lack of sleep and the energy I had expended on my missions, "that is actually an interesting story. I was invited over rather late at night and decided to investigate why they were asking me of all people to come over. I feared that they had discovered that I was the Void, but it turned out they invited me thinking that I was still dating Parker, who they had seen me with at the party. They claimed that they had never seen him looking so happy and they liked me as well. However, they realized that we were no longer together when we were talking this afternoon and they've appeared to have lost interest.

"Though their invitation did raise a thought. If I were to make amends with Parker, perhaps I could become a spy within the Avengers. I would learn their weaknesses and then exploit them, picking them off one by one."

"If this can be done, do whatever you must with this Parker boy," my mother nodded, barely looking up from her work.

I bowed my head, "thank you, mother. It may take me a while to mend my relationship, but I promise it will be fruitful."

(A/N): Is this permission to be with Peter and not have to sneak around that I see? Or is it just dangerously allowing your parents to get closer to your personal life (aka Peter)? I hope that you enjoyed this chapter because things are gonna heat up soon!
