(Your POV):
Peter acted only slightly less hostile towards me for the next few days, but he did track me down in the library the following day to invite me back to their lunch table. That was an improvement, at least, as was the lack of anger in his eyes. He seemed to be trying to remedy our friendship first, which I couldn't exactly complain about, but I did want things to go back to normal.

I was enjoying my lunch with him and the rest of the group when I felt my phone vibrating. Frowning, I slipped it out of my pocket to see that it was my father calling. Only one thought bounced around my head: this cannot be good.

The blood drained from my face as I stood from my seat, "sorry guys, I just have a call to take real quick, I'll be back soon."

Peter's eyes filled with worry, but I gave him a reassuring smile before walking away and answering the phone. I made sure that I was a safe distance away, knowing that Peter had hearing better than that of an average person and I couldn't risk him overhearing whatever my father had to say.

"What do you need?"

"We have word that Captain America is taking a personal trip to Germany today, his flight is departing in an hour. Apparently he will only be traveling with the Winter Soldier. This is your best chance to at least one of them down but you will have to work quickly."

"You want me to leave school to do this?" I asked in shock, used to him always telling me that I couldn't afford to miss school and have people grow suspicious.

"Do I need to repeat myself? He will be taking one of Stark's private jets, we'll reroute the computer to cause the plane to change course and you will deal with the passengers."

"Understood." I hung up the call and then turned back to the lunch table. Ned and Betty seemed to be discussing something funny, Ned and Bettylaughing heartily while MJ sported a half-smile on her face. Peter, however, was looking straight at me, perking up when he noticed I had finished my call.

"Everything alright?" He asked as soon as I returned to earshot.

I nodded, "yeah, just a small family emergency. I have to go, though. Peter, would you be willing to take notes for me?"

"Yeah, of course, anything you need. Let me know how everything goes, alright?"

"Of course. MJ, can you let me know what happens in English?"

"Whatever," was all I got in response, but her little smile told me that she would do what I asked.

Knowing that I could not disappoint my parents, I left the school after checking in at the office and hopped on the motorcycle I finally convinced my parents to let me have. Easily speeding through the streets, dodging cars along the roads, I finally arrived at the coordinates that my father had sent me. I discovered that he wanted me on the roof of a building so I found a place to park my bike and activated my suit.

"I'm in position," I spoke into the coms that I had stored in my bag for situations like this.

"Stand by, the jet is preparing for take-off," my father's voice replied in my ear.

I watched the street below me while I waited, finding a sense of peace as the sight of everyone going about their business played before my eyes. Each person down there were in their own little world, unaware that at least one of their precious Avengers was going to be taken down. They were all fooled that these beings- these creatures steeped in power- were the ones protecting them. But like in any capitalist society, they had created a monopoly on power. And one day, they were going to see that I was never the enemy, that I was just trying to make the world a better place for those who lived down there.
