The plan was supposed to be simple. Lady Sif would grab Jane. I would take Loki to the meeting place. Thor would make sure his other friends were at their posts to hold off the guards.

Loki and I took off, down the hallway, both of us looking over our shoulders from time to time. I pulled him into a corner.

My cloud swirled in my hand revealing a purple diamond set into a thin necklace and a green diamond set into a delicate bracelet. I handed him the necklace. "Here. I want you to take this."

"What does it do?" He questioned as he put it on.

He motioned to me to hand him the bracelet and he helped me put it on. "I can find you and if you say my name, I can feel it. I can keep you safe."

Loki brushed his lips on mine. "Thank you. But I assure you, I shall worry about you more than you shall worry about me."

My voice was low. "We can worry about each other or we can watch each other's backs."

"Then in that case, I have your back, Li Anne," he whispered against my mouth. My affection for him grew in my chest, filling me up.

The bracelet let off a warm feeling as he said my name.

We were in our third kiss when Thor ran up. He coughed. "Um, excuse me. Loki!"

Loki and I jumped apart. "Sorry!"

Jane and Lady Sif followed him. Jane stopped dead in her tracks when she saw him. Her finger raised to point at Loki. "You're..."

"I'm Loki. You may have heard of..." Suddenly Jane slapped Loki hard in the face.

I stood back, shocked.

"That was for New York." She growled.

Loki took my hand and smiled. "I like her."

Guards stormed into the hallway. "There they are! Take them. On my command."

My cloud swirled around my wrists and my clothes switched to a green hoodie and ripped purple jeans.

"I'll hold them off. Take her," Sif said. She held my shoulder to stop me. "Beware. He's a traitor." Lady Sif whispered in my ear.

I smiled at her. "I know. But I trust him."

"Thank you." Thor, Jane, and I took off, not really noticing Sif holding Loki behind. He was chuckling when he caught up with us.

One of the Dark Elves' ships had crashed into the palace and we were all headed for it.

"I will give you as much time as I can." Volstagg shook hands with Thor.

"Thank you, my friend," Thor headed for the ship.

The ship was very large inside and exceptionally dark. Thor looked at the controls and started pressing some buttons, looking unsure of what he was doing.

Loki strode over. "I thought you said you knew how to fly this thing."

"I said, "how hard could it be?" Thor growled. "Li Anne, tend to Jane."

I looked around for Jane and found her on the floor, clutching her arm and her stomach.

Loki looked delighted at Thor's failure. "Well, whatever you're doing, brother, I suggest you do it faster."

"Shut up, Loki."

I giggled and turned to Jane.

Thor continued to frantically press every button to start the ship. There was no luck. Time was running out.
