The air in Sokovia was cold. I had on lavender thermal tights under my short, purple skirt and a white leather jacket over my long sleeve lavender shirt.

Snow brushed my face as I flew next to Tony toward the Hydra base on the edge of the city.

"Everybody ready?" Steve asked from down below on his motorcycle.

I sped up to catch Iron Man. "We're ready, Rogers." Changing direction, I flew downward toward the ground and Tony flew upward toward the research base.

As soon as I landed, guns started shooting at me from all directions. Unfazed, I put up a clear purple bubble and the bullets bounced off. Energy flowed off of the bubble, into the snow covered woods surrounding my force field, knocking all of the soldiers down.

"Shit!" Tony's voice yelled in my ear.

Steve answered almost immediately. "Language!" I snorted a laugh as I threw an armed man over my head with my cloud and elbowed another one in the stomach.

"JARVIS, what's the view from upstairs?"

"Loki's scepter must be here. Strucker couldn't mount this defense without it. At long last." Thor sounded preoccupied.

"At long last is lasting a little long, boys." Natasha quipped.

"Yeah. I think we lost the element of surprise."

Tony spoke up again. "Wait a second. No one else is going to deal with the fact that Cap just said "language?""

"I know," Steve groaned. "It just slipped out."

I crept quietly, following Clint to the back entrance of the Hydra base, knocking out soldiers along the way.

A white blur came at Clint before I could stop it. It knocked him down, then slowed. A boy with white hair looked down at Clint. "You didn't see that coming?" He asked before zooming off before Hawkeye could shoot him with an arrow.

Gun shot. Clint crumpled.

"Banner!" He yelled. "Enhanced! Get him!"

"I saw!" I took off, held aloft by my cloud.

The boy blur knocked Steve down.

"We have an enhanced in the field," Steve said, getting up.

"I know! I'm in pursuit!" I said as I sped up.

The boy paused before running in a different direction. I made my move. Hand out, I put up a shield in his path. The boy ran straight into it. He glanced around before taking off again, right into another shield.

Now I could get a good look at him. My curly half ponytail fell perfectly into place as I landed next to the shield cage I made.

"Nice day for a jog, isn't it?" I asked.

"I suppose," His accent was thick but I could understand him perfectly. He leaned against the wall of his cage but jumped back as it shocked him. "Is this yours?"

I nodded. "Yep. Did they experiment on you in there?" I pointed at the base.

"Yes," he ran into another wall of the cage. Spikes shot out of it.

Laughing, I moved the cage, with the boy inside, towards a tree. "I'm Li Anne."

"Pietro," He said, backing away from the ropes my cloud was forming.

"Well, this has been a great chat but I've gotta do other things, so" I finished tying him, let down the cage, and rose into the air. "See ya."

"Stark, we really need to get inside."

I landed next to Thor and Steve.

"The enhanced?" Thor asked.

Steve answered before me. "He's a blur. All the new player's we've faced, I've never seen this. In fact, I still haven't."

"He's my age," I interjected. "His name's Pietro."

"How'd you find that out?" Steve questioned.

I smirked slightly. "A little chit chat. Everyone's power has flaws and not even the experiments know what they are because they don't get to test their powers much."

Natasha's voice came over the comms. "Clint's hit pretty bad, guys. We're gonna need evac."

Thor turned to us. "I can get Barton to the jet. The sooner we're gone the better. You two and Stark secure the scepter."

"Copy that."

"Looks like they're lining up." Thor glanced around.

Steve held up his shield. "Well, they're excited."

I rose in the air right before Thor pounded on Steve's shield with his hammer. The force knocked down all the soldiers and Steve and I started walking towards the base.

"Find the scepter.'' Thor said as he took off.

"And for gosh sake, watch your language!" Tony mocked.

Steve sighed. "That's not going away anytime soon."

I laughed. "Nope. Come on."

My cloud grabbed Steve and we flew to the base without being seen. I dropped Steve off on a bridge and I headed for the roof.

I landed and attached the tracker to a satellite on top. The view was amazing, snow glistening and sun shining.

"Banner," Steve's voice came to my ear. "There's another enhanced. Maybe you can converse with her too. She's dangerous."

"On it," I stood up. "Evelyn, locate every female in the building."

"One match, Lady Lavender. Third floor, secret rooms. Tony Stark is in her direct path."

Jumping off the roof, I shot into a window, glass shattering with a musical clink. This was Hydra and they knew me. Violins that they had created inside me tightened all five of their airways and I kicked one in the gut with my knee high boot. The secret room was guarded by Tony's suit and it let me pass after inspecting me.

She was standing a few inches from Tony, both were still. I silently yanked her backward into a wall. Her cloud was red. It was moving toward my head. My cloud encircled hers and held her body against the stone wall.

"Hello, copycat," I murmured, reaching for her identification tag on her neck. I had had one too. "Well," I checked the metal square. "Wanda, nice to meet you. I'm Li Anne." My cloud drove her into the wall harder. She squirmed.

Wanda looked like Pietro. They had to be siblings. Hydra liked to take siblings.

"Leave Tony alone," I shoved her into the next room. Tony had unfrozen. My boots clicking on the floor, I walked toward him. "You ok, Iron Man?"

"I'm good," he held his arm out for the hand piece of his suit. I could feel Wanda and Pietro watching us. My cloud kept their feet rooted into the ground. It wouldn't stop Wanda but she didn't make a move.

Tony and I flew out the window, I made sure to ruffle both of their hair as I left. The database said that they were volunteers, JARVIS had sent a copy of the files to Evelyn and she alerted me. Volunteers. Stupid.

I carried the scepter in a cloud as we headed for the jet.

"Banner, you doing ok?" Iron Man asked.

"I'm ok," I sighed. "I'll be better when we get this scepter where it belongs."

Natasha had taken care of the Hulk, something that was usually my job. Something was up between them, it had been since Christmas. I wasn't sure what it was but it gave me an uneasy feeling.

I handed Thor the scepter and sat down next to Clint, playing a soft melody in his ears to dull the pain.

Volunteers. Who volunteers? Why would you volunteer? Why did they?

I had to find out. This was definitely something to write Bucky about.
