Steve spoke up first, his voice dangerously low. "Stark."

"JARVIS," Tony looked as worried as we did.

The man began speaking again. "I'm sorry, I was asleep. Or...I was a-dream?"

Tony kept tapping his phone. "Reboot, Legionnaire OS, we got a buggy suit."

"There was a terrible noise...and I was tangled in... in...strings. I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy."

Steve stepped forward, beckoning me to let the metal suit get a glance of my cloud. I heard several guns click. "You killed someone?"

"Wouldn't have been my first call. But, down in the real world we're faced with ugly choices," he sneered, the strings still dripping off of him.

Thor gripped his hammer. "Who sent you?"

A recording of Tony's voice played from somewhere inside the "body". "I see a suit of armor around the world".

Dad seemed to understand. "Ultron!"

"In the flesh. Or, no, not yet. Not this...chrysalis. But I'm ready. I'm on a mission."

"What mission?" Natasha had her gun ready. Everyone was standing up.

"Peace in our time," Ultron said, just as the Iron Legion bots broke through the walls, debris flying everywhere.

I flung my hands in front of my face to shield my eyes from the dust.

Dad and Natasha ran behind the bar and Steve grabbed his shield. A Legion was targeting Tony and I yanked one away as it tried to reach for his throat.

The Legions were putting up a fight and my dress wasn't helping at all. I shut one down by crushing the microchip brain inside with my cloud while shielding my dad as Nat tried to get him out of the fight without a Code Green.

Steve and Clint shut down the last one and we all heaved sighs of relief. Ultron was still standing there, watching us.

"That was dramatic! I'm sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world, but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to...evolve?" He picked up one of the dismembered Iron Legions. "With these? These puppets? There's only one path to peace: The Avengers' extinction."

Suddenly Thor threw his hammer at Ultron and smashed him to pieces. Ultron's broken body started singing softly to himself. "I had strings, but now I'm free. There are no strings on me, no strings on me."

We all stood around in the destroyed common room, still breathing heavily.

My cloud swirled through the room, putting some of the glass back together in the windows. "Everyone, go clean off, change if you need to and meet in Tony's lab in ten minutes."

No one disagreed with me. Everyone filed towards their rooms. I put on my yellow hoodie, a pair of exercise shorts that covered them completely, and a pair of purple high tops. Yanking out the disheveled bobby pins from my hair, I swirled my curls up into a messy bun with little pieces framing my face.

Steve stopped at my room and knocked on the door. "Hey," he leaned against the door frame and crossed his arms. "You were awfully calm back there."

"I had to be. My dad was about to blow a fuse," I said we headed for the lab. "We don't need a Code Green right now."

"No, but I see the wheels turning, Annie. I know you."

I sighed. "I guess you do." I brushed a curl out of my face. "I'm formulating."
