As we continued flying on our stolen ship, Jane's eyes blinked open. Thor's and my gasping in unison confirm it. The Aether had taken her over. Jane rose and looked ahead.
"Jane," Thor struggled to keep his voice steady.
Jane's head wobbled. "Malekith."
We dismounted the boat, my hand enveloped in Loki's. "Are you going to be ok?" he asked.
"Of course. We have a job to finish." I tightened my curly ponytail.
Loki grinned at me. "Ah, nobility. It's so attractive."
"Ahem," Thor coughed. "Alright, are you ready?" He turned to Jane. She nodded her head.
"I am." Loki said and stood in his ready position. He dragged his lips against mine quickly before I took off, concealed by an illusion, to my attack spot.
From my spot near the ship, I could see Loki's illusion, Thor and Loki, near real Jane, with me holding her up.
"You know this plan of yours is going to get us killed," Illusion Loki said.
"Yeah, possibly," Illusion Thor answered. Loki held up his shackled hands for Thor to uncuff them. The illusion was well made, it almost tricked me if the other me hadn't been standing there and if the real Loki hadn't been unshackled before we left Asgard.
"You still don't trust me, brother?"
Thor removed Loki's handcuff. "Would you?"
"No," Loki said quietly. "I wouldn't." Suddenly he took out a dagger, the dagger I gave him, and stabbed Thor and threw him down the hill.
"Thor!" Jane shrieked. "No!"
Malekith saw the illusion us and started walking towards them. After stabbing Thor, Loki followed him down the hill, walking quickly.
"You really think I cared about Frigga, about any of you?" Loki's voice was filled with spite. He kicked Thor in the stomach. "All I ever wanted was you and Odin dead at my feet!"
Thor attempted to summon Mjolnir, but Loki cut off his hand with the dagger, making Thor scream out in pain. Jane and the illusion me rushed over to Thor but Loki grabbed Jane and turned to face Malekith and his dark elves.
"Malekith, I am Loki of Jotunheim and I bring you a gift!" He threw Jane at Malekith's feet. "I ask only one thing in return, a good seat from which to watch Asgard burn."
A man-like creature, the same man who had helped all of the Asgardian prisoners escape. "He is an enemy of Asgard, he was locked in a cell. With her." He pointed at illusion me and my real heart raced.
Malekith walked over to Thor, squirming in pain on the ground.
"Look at me." Malekith used his foot to turn Thor, he then lifted Jane in the air and extracted the Aether from her. In that moment, Aether left her body and Jane fell to the ground. She was free.
"Loki, now!" Thor yelled and quickly summoned Mjolnir, shooting lightning at the Aether, attempting to destroy it.
My cloud swirled around my wrists as I ran out from my hiding spot. Purple waves enveloped the Aether but they were cut off as the fire creature, Algrim, yanked me upward, holding me by my waist. "Quit it, you pesky sprite!" he yelled.
Loki heard his yells and came running, returning the screams. "Put her down! Hands off!" He shoved his dagger into Algrim's hand, causing him to put me down.
He took my hand and led me away. "Are you alright, angel?"
"I'm fine." I panted. "If you call me angel, what am I to call you?"
