I notice this very attractive woman eye me every so often at my firm but I don't know if she works here. If she does, that's very unprofessional and very much against policy to date coworkers.

"Kelly?" I hear.

"LaLa?" I question.

"Who... has all of your attention?" My best friend sits on my desk.

"Girl." She gets up and dusts where she was sitting.

"My bad. But anyways."

"Is it that cute lightskin with the blond hair?" She questions, smirking at me.

"No. I'm not gay. She keeps staring at me." I emphasize "she" and "me."

"Go talk to her."

"I don't even know who that is!!"

"So? It doesn't hurt to get to know people."

"I know... what if she's weird?"

"She's not."

"You know her?"

"I had a few conversations with her."

"How many?"

"3."

"How long?"

"About 20 minutes each."

"Uhuh. What y'all talk about?"

"Oh. That's unfortunate." I write emails and sip my coffee.

"I got it." I nod. I look up and see her still staring at me. I blush and look down, looking up one more time to see her still...staring.

"She's so weird." I grab a file and head up to the administrators office. I get in the elevator and hear someone yell. I hold the elevator and watch as the blond walks in. I blush and look from her, pretending to look in the file.

"Hi." I hear.

"Hi." I say, looking at her.

"How's your day going?"

"Good. You?"

"Good." I nod. I continued "reading" the file and clear my throat.

"What's your name?"

"You know my name, don't play dumb." I say, not looking up.

"Ain't nobody playin but you." I look at her and she gets closer.

"What do you mean?"

"What I said."

"Do you even work here?"

"Yea."

"Who are you?"

"I'm the custodian." She looks from me.

"Really?"

"Yea." I nod.

"Okay."

"Is that not enough for you?"

"I don't have any feelings towards it. It's a job that pays." I shrug.

"So you wouldn't treat me any different?"
