-Mari-
Is it bad to say I'm bored in my relationship? I love Liam, it's just nothing has changed. Well between us at least. My schedule is taken up by Lucy and her baby. Since Dylan is on tour until November 5th. One month until Marcy is born. I can't wait to be an aunt. It'll be such a blessing. Mom is flipping out about being a grandma though. I sat on the couch next to Lucy. She had a sweatshirt and sweatpants on. The bags under her eyes were noticeable. She was stressed, who wouldn't be though? "Mari?" Lucy sounded raspy. "Yeah?" "My water just broke." In that moment I don't think anyone has moved faster than I did. I grabbed my keys and Lucy basically limped out the front door. I sped in my car and rushed in the hospital. "SOMEBODY GET A DOCTOR HER WATER BROKE." It felt weird saying that but as soon as I did a team
of doctors took her to a room. I followed closely. Lucy was breathing heavily. She looked so stressed. We arrived in the room and almost instantly they began work. "Okay honey breath. In, out." The doctor said. Lucy was crying though. She was screaming. "Just push. Just a little more, she's almost here." Lucy pushed and pushed. Then silence approached. Lucy sighed. She wiped the tears from her face. "I want to see my baby." Lucy was determined. The nurse frowned. Lucy shot her a glare. If looks could kill. They carefully placed Marcy in Lucy's arms. My heart melted. "Hi baby girl. Mommy's got you." Marcy blinked her little eyes. She had little auburn hairs just like her parents. All was well, everyone is happy. Then suddenly the
door burst open and stood a very emotional Dylan. "My little MVP." He mumbled as he walked towards the bed. Lucy's eyes lit up. "Look Marcy, it's daddy." Dylan kissed Lucy's cheek and Marcy made a little noise. It was lovely watching everyone come and visit. It was beautiful seeing my mom cry into my shoulders about the beauty of new life instead of the death of old life. Her smile was the brightest. She may have been a young grandma, but she was proud of having the honors. Lucy was going to be a great mom to Marcy. I could tell already. Dylan still had big news he wanted to reveal though. Rumor has it he's going to quit his band. I'm not sure yet. Whatever is best for Marcy is exactly what everyone is going to do. Especially me. She's in a fucked up world and I'm ready to protect her from day one. Lucy won't even notice. The duties of an aunt are even better than the duties of a mother. Or so some say.
