S1 E2: The One And Only!

Samantha: Before we get on with the next episode I think it's time to do a little recap of what happened in the last episode!

Jack: Well... There's not too much to recap on really, besides the fact that you kicked my ass.

Samantha: ...Besides that I mean!

Jack: Ah right, anyways a strange rip appeared in the night sky and spewed a whole ton of stuff onto campus! What could it possibly be?

Samantha: Well let's find out!

[Cue Intro]

(Setting is college campus. Samantha walks around, slowly scanning the area)

Samantha: This is so weird...

(Through her eyes she tries to find someone, but her attempts are futile)

Samantha: Where could Jack be? We have the same classes today so there's no reason that I shouldn't be seeing him... He wasn't here for the first class, will he be here for this one?

(Samantha makes her way to the theater where Davis and Connor are waiting for the doors to open)

Connor: Hm? What's got you looking all over the place?

Samantha: Usually Jack has the same class as me but today I didn't see him.

(Enter Christine as she walks over to Samantha)

Christine: Are you Samantha?

Samantha: Yes, how do you know me?

Christine: Through Jack. He's my best friend and he's said a lot of good stuff about you.

Samantha: I see... Do you have this class?

Christine: I recently transferred here so I think this is my class. (Fumbles through her folders)

(Christine pulls out a schedule and sure enough room, class and time all line up)

Samantha: Did you perhaps see Jack today erm...

Christine: Christine. No not really. I know he goes here but given I just recently transferred I haven't seen him. Does he have this class with you guys?

Samantha: Yeah.

Christine: So wait, you guys all have classes together?

Davis: Towards the end of the day yeah. I'm Davis and that's Connor.

Connor: Nice to meet you Christine.

Christine: Nice to meet you two as well, and it's nice to formally meet you Samantha.

Samantha: Likewise. (Shakes hands with Christine)

(The professor arrives to open the door and everyone floods in)

Professor: You're Christine, the new student, aren't you?

Christine: Yes this is my first class here.

Professor: Well, welcome, this is oral interpretation and I hope your time here with us is enjoyable... Say... Jack isn't here...

Samantha: That's what I'm wondering about as well. I didn't see him in my other class.

Professor: He could be resting off some injuries. You did quite a number on him yesterday.

Christine: What do you mean?

Professor: He and Sam were chosen to do a fight choreography demonstration during our acting class and she beat him up pretty bad.

Samantha: It was staged you know? I couldn't possibly have done that much to him!

(Everyone laughs)

Davis: Well you did slam him on the ground, but I doubt that would have hurt him that much. He got up right after.

Samantha: Yeah, that just doesn't make sense.

(With all of that aside the class begins and Christine sits next to Samantha, who proceeds to move over a seat to give herself some space. Halfway into the class the professor calls for a break and the trio head outside to take in some fresh air)

Samantha: How long have you known Jack?

Christine: Longer than I can remember.

(Suddenly all goes silent)

Steam break! Cobra!

(A pink, cobra shaped energy blast just misses Christine's feet as she and Samantha leap back and turn to see a strange person clad in red and blue)

Samantha: What the?! Who are you?!

???: You need not know my name, but you may call me Blood Stalk.

Davis: What do you want with us?! And why did you shoot?!

Blood Stalk: So many questions at once, please one at a time.

(Blood Stalk twirls around a gun, the transteam gun, as he analyzes Samantha and company)

Connor: Well whoever you are you are not welcome here! Get lost!

(Connor goes to punch Blood Stalk, but his fist is caught)

Blood Stalk: Wow, so much hostility... Is this universe really all that jazz?

(Blood Stalk proceeds to throw Connor at Samantha and Christine, knocking them over)

Blood Stalk: You can go ahead and call for help but I assure you they will not be able to stop me. I just wanted to see how things are going around here. This won't be the last you see of me, maybe I'll run into you guys again sometime soon. Ciao!

Davis: You wait just a goddamned second! You're not going to just do all of that and think you can get away with it!

(Davis punches Blood Stalk in the back but the look on his face tells a different story as soon as his fist connects)

Blood Stalk: Geez, humans here are just like back there... All too eager to meet their maker...

Davis: ...OW!

Blood Stalk: Alright, now I'm actually leaving but don't expect this to be the last time you see me. Ciao for real this time.

(Blood Stalk fires his transteam gun and a huge blast of gas spouts out of the barrel, masking Blood Stalk. The gas then engulfs everyone save for Christine, who ducks inside to avoid the gas)

Davis: ACK! What... What is this?!

(Everyone starts hacking and coughing due to the gas)

Samantha: I can't *cough cough* see shit! It's blinding me!

Connor: Oh god it smells like a burning dumpster!

(Eventually the gas goes away, and Davis and Samantha are still standing. Connor on the other hand has passed out)

Christine: Connor!

(The group crowds around the unconscious Connor, ready to call for an ambulance, when suddenly he wakes up)

Connor: Whoa... What the hell...

Samantha: What happened?! Are you okay?

Connor: Yeah... I think I am... My head was flooded with this strange stuff before I passed out... It's in my head right now but I'm not sure if it will come in handy, but more importantly, who IS that Blood Stalk guy? Is that really his face? Or does he have a face under that helmet?

Samantha: I don't think we're brave enough to find out... Let's just head back to our class, break's just about over.

(The group heads back to the theater to resume class, and it runs like normal until the end where Davis, Connor, Samantha and Christine group up)

Davis: I'm not sure if that Blood Stalk guy is targeting us only or if he's going after other people but there's one thing that we know, we all saw him and we all know that he's around. It's best that we stick together.

Samantha: Agreed. Shall we all shake on it?

(The group shakes hands with one another, sealing the deal before they head off to wherever they need to be)
