S3 E11: Deviation

Christine: So, shall we begin the recap?

Jack: We shall.

Christine: At least you're feeling better after that walloping you got from Evolt.

Jack: At the very least, but I lost the transteam gun and the steam blade to him. Now I can't really fight!

Christine: I'm sure there will be a way.

Jack: Let's just get on with the episode, shall we?

[Cue Intro]

(Setting is Connor's mobile lab. Jack and Connor are looking at a build driver that the latter recently built)

Jack: Is there anything you can't build? You're a pretty resourceful guy.

Connor: I used whatever resources were left. Should work like a charm. Why don't you give it a spin?

(Connor tosses Jack the taka and gatling fullbottles)

Connor: I'm not really expecting you to use it right now, but when Evolt decides to rear his ugly head, give him a little bit of this. Make sure I get it back.

Jack: Alright.

(The two chuckle before they head out to their classroom where Samantha and company are waiting)

Samantha: What's that?

Jack: Connor made another driver. I can use it, but I'm gonna give this back to him afterwards. We just need to make sure the thing works.

(The professor arrives with the rest of the class and everyone pours in. The professor begins lecturing just like normal, and then he notices the extra build driver Jack has. He puts the new detail in the back of his head as he continues lecturing)

Samantha: You should be able to get the hang of that pretty quickly, right?

Jack: I've used the evol driver which is exactly like this, shouldn't be a problem.

Samantha: Fair point.

(Once again the professor takes a sudden leave, and Samantha and company stand up, knowing that Evolt is soon to emerge)

Connor: I think you got this.

Jack No, I do got this.

(Evolt emerges via black hole)

Evolt: Miss me?

Jack: Like we would ever! Samantha, Davis, Sebastian!

Hazard on! Max hazard on!

BOTTLE BURN! CROSS-Z MAGMA!

Danger! Crocodile!

Tank! Tank and tank! Build up! Don ten kan! Don ten kan!

Taka! Gatling! Best match!

Gata Gata Gotton! Zuttan Zutan! Gata Gata Gotton! Zuttan Zutan!

Are you ready?

Jack, Samantha, Davis and Sebastian: Henshin!

(The four transform and prepare to face off with Evolt as Jack takes to the skies!)

Evolt: So you decided to use that weak thing huh?

Jack: It's not weak! It's only a matter of the user!

Hawk gatlinger!

Christine: You got this Jack!

(Jack hovers and strafes the stage, pelting Evolt with shots from the hawk gatlinger while Samantha and company get up close and start beating up Evolt)

Evolt: Man I'm really outnumbered!

Jack: What else did you expect?

Fullbottle buster!

(Davis pulls out the magmaduster from his build driver and starts punching Evolt with it, creating fiery explosions with every punch)

Evolt: Ow! That's hot!

Davis: Have you really gotten that weak over the times?

Evolt: Shut up!

(Evolt headbutts Davis, sending him reeling back, and Jack prepares for a nasty attack)

Ten! Twenty! Thirty! Forty! Fifty! Sixty! Seventy! Eighty! Ninety! One hundred! Full bullet!

(Evolt gets trapped in a bubble)

Jack: Eat this!

(Jack lets loose a hailstorm of bullets, but when the full barrage ends, Evolt has not been affected all to much)

Samantha: What?!

Jack: They're just bullets. I wasn't expecting too much out of this transformation.

Evolt: Your friend does make a point there.

Samantha: But let's see if you can stand against this barrage!

Fullfull match desu!

(Samantha transforms into a tank while Jack reloads)

Jack: We're doing this military style!

Ten! Twenty! Thirty! Forty! Fifty! Sixty! Seventy! Eighty! Ninety! One hundred! Full bullet!

(With Evolt trapped in a bubble Davis and Sebastian step back, allowing Samantha and Jack full range to put Evolt through bullet hell. A barrage of plasma shots nail Evolt in the face while Jack lets loose with another full bullet)

Fullfull match break!

(Evolt is released from the bubble, only to get shot in the face with a final blast from Samantha. Evolt goes flying and Jack catches him)

Evolt: LET! ME! GO!

Jack: Gladly!

(Jack drops Evolt and he falls a good twenty feet to the ground. He lands with a comical splat, but he slowly gets up)

Evolt: You think you can get away with taunting me like that? Just you wait, I will take away your most precious soon enough! Ciao!

(Evolt vanishes via black hole and Jack lands)

Jack: Yeah yeah yeah gloat and threaten all you want, there's no way he's going to break us.

(Jack and company untransform and they regroup)

Samantha: Still I wouldn't take Evolt lightly. He's done a lot of stuff, who knows what he might do to you.

Jack: Alright, you have me there.

(The professor eventually returns, and a few bruises from the whole fight are all that Samantha and company need to know that they got at least some sort of victory out of the whole ordeal)

Professor: My apologies, let's continue on with the lecture.

(This time the class is in high spirits after having witnessed the victory that Samantha and the others achieved. The class continues on just like normal and they are dismissed somewhat later than normal. Samantha and company are among the first to head out as they find themselves just outside campus grounds and near the parking lot)

Jack: I'm just glad that things can start going back to some sense of normal, at least for me.

Christine: Yeah, but that normal is something that shouldn't really be taken lightly. I don't know if Evolt really meant it or if it was just an empty threat, but I'm worried...

Jack: Hey, whatever comes your way, I'll do my best to stop it, even if it's this alien that's possessed me for god knows how long and knows all of my weaknesses.

(The two chuckle as Jack hands the build driver and the bottles back to Connor before they leave)

Connor: I just hope that he'll stay happy like this. It's hard to come back after something like that... Everything that's happened to him...

Samantha: We all hope so as well.

(The rest of the group leaves)
