I blew my curly bangs out of my face then groaned as they just fell right back down again. The Sunshine Pack's hairdresser, nor the Darkmoon Pack's hairdresser knew how to cut my hair, so I rarely went. I mentally noted down to take a trip to the human town to get a trim.

"Aunt Mallory! I'm ready!" Chase jumped down the wooden stairs of the cabin and smirked, looking up at me. "How do I look? Handsome?" He looked so proud and adorable in his little suit and tie. Ryan had gelled his blonde hair back and his blue eyes were so bright and curious.

I chuckled. "Very handsome. Now, where's Mila?"

He sighed and rolled his eyes. "You know women. They take hours getting ready. Uh, no offense."

"I'm here!!" A little voice yelled from inside the cabin. A girl ran out in her purple dress, as she tied her brown hair into pigtails, her normal hairstyle. "And I deserve this much time to get ready! It's finally the Alphas ceremony and the Darkmoon Pack is combining with us, Chase!" Mila stuck her tongue out at him

Sighing at the two's normal bickering, we started to walk towards the clearing where the ceremony was going to be held. Mila had just turned five and now she was acting like a teenager. I knew Chase was jealous but his birthday was coming up soon and he would be six.

As the clearing came into view, I shivered a bit. It had been two months since the Dark War and only now were we doing the combining. It took so much effort to clean and restore the different packs.

However, without this war, I never would have realized who I truly was. I giggled a bit making the kids look at me weirdly. Finally, Ryan and I could mind-link. It was basically just a wolf's way of texting, just way faster and you could feel their emotions and maybe even see places.

As we started to get closer to the crowd of both packs, the smell of my mate came drifting through the people. It was my favorite smell: Christmas pinecones. Who couldn't love that?

'This is it, babe! After this maybe you two will physically mark each other.' My wolf, Clove spoke, basically jumping around in my mind.

'You basically marked his wolf seconds after smelling him.' I teased.

Clove smirked. 'Girl, your mate was in front of you the whole time and you didn't know it? Who wouldn't have??'

Sometimes I was glad she wasn't someone who could shift into a person because she always put unnecessary images into my mind which I clearly didn't need.

'I told you, we said we wouldn't. We don't know what it'll do, so we wanted to wait until a little bit after this.' With that, I shoved her into the back of my mind until I couldn't hear her anymore and took a deep breath. I led Isla's siblings next to the stage placed in the middle and stood next to the others.

Jennalyn was dressed in a beautiful red and white kimono, with her long hair just out and waving in the wind, not in her usual braid. I had on an aqua blue dress that reached down to the grass and flowed. Isla was always beautiful. For once she didn't have a shirt and jeans; this time her gorgeous auburn hair was half-up-half-down and she wore a long green dress that was sheer in some places.

My smile grew bigger as she and her mate, West Hunter, stood at the pulpit looking at each other. This was a werewolf's way of getting married, just essentially showing that they were marked. However, it was different from a 'Luna ceremony' considering she wouldn't be leaving her own pack. I was thankful to my mother for allowing this to happen. Isla never had that many emotions or happiness until her mate showed up.

Ryan stood next to West on the other side and smiled at me. I returned it, almost giddy from the excitement of this. This would be amazing!

"Let's begin," West said, bringing out our sacred knife and turning to look at our pack, the Sunshine Pack and the Darkmoon. He was the Alpha of the Darkmoon while Isla was the Alpha of ours, the Sunshine.
