We sat in the backyard of the cabin, waiting for something, anything. I started to hum 'A Whole New World' from the Disney movie, Aladdin. The song came up in my mind from the beautiful twinkling stars in the sky. The crescent moon should be up as usual, but I knew something was up with the Moon Goddess and I intended to find out.
"This is ridiculous, Agapiménos, we've been sitting here for two hours." Dion huffed, sitting up from his place in the grass.
I rolled my eyes. "Fine, you can leave. I intend to wait for the ble flóges if it's the last thing I--"
Then he gasped. "Look! It's there." The flickering little sparking fire wavered in the branch of the tree.
'Mallory.' It's high pitched voice spoke with a mystifying tune in it, a tune that I felt as though I have heard it before. It was quiet through the wind blowing through my blonde curls.
"Come on!" I grabbed my backpack and started to run towards it. It disappeared and appeared in another branch, farther away than the first one. My heart started to pound as both of us raced through the woods, wondering where it was taking us.
Immediately I stopped, breathing heavily as we reached the pack border line. Dion had already stepped over it and he turned back, looking at me, his eyebrows raised. I bit my lip and took a deep breath, placing both my feet over it. A vibration pummeled through me, wolves howling in my head, many members calling to me. I knew it wasn't real though. This would be the normal call since I was Beta and Goddess, leaving the land I swore to protect with my life.
A hand reached out on my shoulder. "You good?"
I nodded and we walked towards the trail of blue flames, their voices, and music calling out to me. Any other normal person or wolf would have found it creepy since we were in dark woods and out of our protected valley, but I found it exhilarating. This was my lullaby. The ble flóges lullaby that was made for me.

Our feet dragged across the forsaken land, extremely weak. We had been out of the dark woods three hours ago. The light had just been peeking out from the horizon but made no move to give us any more. Finally, Dion groaned and plopped on the ground.
"I give up. You may be a werewolf and I may be me but we need rest. This is crazy. I am not moving anymore."
"But-but the flóges.." I turned to look at the trail and they immediately whisked away, making my eyes widen.
He shook his head. "It's fine, Agapiménos. They'll come back once we need them again."
I sighed and sat down on the crusty ground, no grass in sight. It did feel nice to stop walking. I pulled out two small bags of Doritos and two water bottles, handing one of each to Dion. Knowing that he knew more about them than me, I nonchalantly asked, "So, do they only appear at night?"
Snorting, Dion looked at me, his eyes ablaze making me a bit intimidated by his aqua eyes. "Just ask me about them. I know a lot. No, they do not just appear at night. Only when you actually need them, as I said. The ble flóges first came to be when the god Hades died."
I raised an eyebrow. "Uh, news flash, he's not dead."
"You're right. I'm talking about when he was human."
I held up my finger and took a sip of my water. Spitting out my water, I gaped at him. "H-he was human? Gods and goddesses just come to be, they aren't human at all."
He chuckled and nodded. "Before, people would go to be good. Hades was the first to be bad. His name was Lucifer, then Satan, but he's also known as Hades. He turned into a god when he died after murdering many, many people.. So, his soul when he died, turned into ble flóges, just from the small part of when he was good, guiding people when they needed it, which now, is you."
